Regulation on the requirements for marketing of batteries and accumulators and for treatment and
transportation of spent batteries and accumulators
The regulation determines the requirements for marketing of batteries and accumulators as well as for
the collection, temporary storage, preliminary treatment, recovery and/or environmentally sound disposal of spent batteries and accumulators. The
regulation was adopted in 2005 and thus, the requirements of Directive 2006/66/EC were transposed into the Bulgarian legislation.

• Annex 8 – information on spent batteries and accumulators for EMEPA, Recovery organizations and individuals (collected every 3 months);
• Annex 9 – Report on the achieved targets referred to in art. 12 and 13 for Recovery Organisations and individuals.
