Product Description
WiFi-V01 is designed to control your LED lights with the use of free iOS or Android apps for your
smartphone or tablet. When installed the WiFi-V01 will create its own wireless network and will not interfere or
conflict with your existing home Wi-Fi network. One WiFi-V01 controller can be used as dimmer, CT
controller or an RGB controller by selecting the desires control interface in the app software. There is also a
DIY function which allows the user to create a personalized dynamic effect. In addition to being able to control
your lights via Wi-Fi this controller also comes with a RF Colour wheel remote control for use when a hand
held device is not convenient. This model designed for 12-24V DC constant voltage led products, such as led
flex strip, led kitchen lighting, puck lights etc.

Instruction for use
1. FreeColor V1.0 software installation and SSID (system settings ID) reset.
1.1 Software installation
Android: The app can be downloaded for free in Google Play by searching “FreeColor”
iOS: The app can be downloaded for free in by searching “Freecolor” from App store.
1.2 Resetting SSID
If there is more than one Wi-Fi-V01 in close proximity you can reset the SSID for the devices so they will
avoid interfering with each other. There are 16 separate SSID numbers available to choose.
The default SSID number for all devices is HX001, a device with WIFI function will be needed when
resetting the SSID. The SSID range is: HX000-HX016. Follow these steps to set the SSID number:
① Check that the Wi-Fi-V01 is properly connected and then turn on the power
② Open the Wi-Fi device in your browser by entering “192.168.2.2”in the address bar. This interface will
display
Enter the default Username: admin and the default password: admin. Click “Login”.
③ Reset the SSID as shown in the page as below:
④ If necessary, set the linking password for more security.
A. Select the “Security Mode”: WEP64.
B. Type 10 hexadecimal ASCII codes into “Key Index 0”, which corresponding five characters, and it will
be the linking password. The common hexadecimal ASCII code as below:

After setting, click “Apply” to finish.
⑤ If necessary, set a new “Username” and password in the page as shown below:

2. FreeColor V1.0 software operating illustration
1) Check the Wi-Fi-V01 and LED products are connected properly and then turn on the power supply
2) After step 1), open the Wi-Fi setting interface on the device with Wi-Fi enabled and find the Wi-Fi
network named “HX---”. When found connect to it.
3) Open the “FreeColor” app to start operation. There is also a “WIFI Connection Setting” page in the
software.
4) “FreeColor” is a 3-in-1 controller (Dimmer, CT, RGB) software. The RGB scene is the default app
interface. Enter the “System Setting” page to change the selection. The interface is shown below:
Click go to “System Settings” page as pictured below, and click “OK” to finish the “Type Setting”:

To conserve the batteries the RF remote will enter a sleep mode after 20 seconds. To wake up the
remote touch any of the 5 buttons. This will reactivate the RF remote.
Notes
1. Supply voltage of this product is DC12V~24V DC. Do not connect to line voltage.
2. Lead wires should be connected correctly as illustrated in the wiring diagram. Wiring the controller
incorrectly may damage the controller and the LED lights.
3. Overloading may destroy the controller. Maximum load is 144W at 12V, 288W at 24V
4. Warranty of this product is 2 years when installed according to these instructions and not overloading
the controller.
