• MO Military Community Reinvestment Program is a joint request from DED (Business and Community Solutions), $110,698
• New appropriation line for OEA grant/Crossroads

• Additional withholding and restrictions are likely soon. Another $209 million in cuts for FY 20 announced yesterday, total of about $428 million for the year.

because of the COVID-19 disruptions.
However, outreach continues in Missouri
and at other locations, especially in
Washington, DC. The work of our
consultants in this category are continuing
to focus on the Missouri Priorities list.

support organizations and local and regional governments
that can implement strategies for mission retention and
expansion, and prepare for BRAC or other force
realignments

This indicator has moved from yellow to
red. The COVID-19 disruptions have
precluded our ability to work with DED
communications on a marketing and
communications plan.
Improve the quality and rigor of K-12 instruction in schools
that serve military connected students;

Compaction Commission #2: Advocate for national
recognition and resources for schools with military-
connected students
Participating in the state MIC3
Commission and have worked with the
Waynesville and Knob Noster Schools to
gain national recognition. However,
improvements in quality and rigor have
not been adquately documented.
Standardize the process among higher education institutions
for awarding postsecondary credits and professional
credentials for military education and experience such that
credits are applied toward a specific degree or certificate
programs;

Joint Military Transcript and apply credits toward a
specific degree or certificate
Our office is involved in a research
project with the DHEWD to produce a
white paper that will serve as the basis
for policy changes.
Enact full professional license reciprocity for service
members and military spouses who are transferred to
Missouri;
#1: Advocate for full license reciprocity legislation
in the General Assembly
Full license reciprocity was enacted in
HB 1511, sponsored by Rep. Steve Lynch
and signed into law by Governor Parson
on April 20. Effective date is 8-28/2020
Create a comprehensive method that better connects military
service members and their families with available
employment and entrepreneurial opportunities in Missouri
when they leave the military;
#1: Identify transitioning service members and
spouses with connections to, and improve Missouri's
performance in connecting them with jobs and other
opportunities
Based on recommendations to the
Veteran Innovation Task Force, working
with DED on a job matching site and
working with MOVC on a better
"Military/Veteran Website". Seeing
guidance from MMPEC on using Blue
Star Families, in cooperation with SOP at
FLW, to study military spouse

Support the growth of research and development expertise

efforts of economic developers to help retain and grow
jobs and capital investments in those businesses;

Cell to come up with recommendations
to further promote the defense sector as

Create a national security sector initiative to support the
vitality of components of the supply chain, such as
availability of talent, skills development and
entrepreneurship;

Crossroads initiative with other states, initally KS,
that can support the National Security supply chain

Create collaborations among Missouri defense contractors,
high schools and the military in robotics, engineering and
other STEM-related areas that result in the development of
new skills and training pipelines.
