The Anti-Corruption Strategy

• is brought in 2008

• strengthening the legal and institutional framework, prevention, prosecution and sanctioning of corruption

• inter-agency and international cooperation and raising public awareness about the necessity of its prevention

• to prevent a conflict of interest

• financing political parties

• access to information

• strengthening the integrity of public administration

• public procurement regulation

• protection of the victim and the person who in good faith reports corruption

The role of the SAI

• enhancing the overall transparency and accountability

• supporting an environment which restricts opportunities for corruption

• creating an atmosphere of sound administration

• critical segments in public structures

• guidelines on how to act in cases when fraud and corruption are suspected

• to consider their possible impact on financial information 

• to inform the auditor general

corruption
