Nutritional Value• Avocado is said to have a higher fat content than

many other fruits, but many don’t know that it is a healthy and good type of fat. In our diet, we need some fat to be healthy, but too much isn’t good. Also we need certain types of fat in our diet. The type of fat that avocados contain is called HDL (High-density lipoprotein). This type of fat lowers your risk of heart disease.

• Avocados also lower your blood cholesterol levels. They are higher in protein than many other fruits, and contain 20 different kinds of vitamins.

Avocado Tortilla• Ingredients: • Flour tortilla• Shredded cheese• Chicken breast• Avocado• Tomatoes• Lettuce• (Amount of each ingredient up to the person making the

meal)

Procedure• First, put a pan on the stove, spray it with non-

stick spray. Put a tortilla in the pan and crisp until brown or golden. Then put another pan on the stove, put bite size slices of chicken in the pan. Make sure to keep an eye on it, cook it until it is brown or golden or crispy. Then cut your avocado in half, remove the seed. Cut the avocado into chunks like the picture above. Your tortilla’s should be crispy by now, take them off the stove and scoop out the chunks of avocado into it. Add cubed tomato’s to your tortilla, also add some shreds of lettuce. Add as much cheese as you want. Lastly, add your chicken.

Avocado Milkshake-smoothie• Ingredients:• 1 whole Avocado• Milk• Brown Sugar• 1 cup of Ice

Procedure• First you take out your blender and add about 1

(or more) cups of milk. Then you take your avocado. You cut it in half and take out the seed, then you scoop out the avocado with a spoon. After you do this add a table spoon of brown sugar. Last but not least put about 6 ice cubes in. Put the cover on your blender and puree it.

Avocado Toast• Ingredients:• 1 slice of Whole Wheat Bread• Half an Avocado• 1 pinch of Garlic Salt• 3 shakes of Pepper

Procedure• First, put your 1 slice of toast in the toaster. Make

sure you put your toaster on the setting that will just brown your toast. Second, take your avocado and cut it in half, make sure to take the seed out. Cut the avocado into chunks (or slices) like the picture above. Your toast should be ready to be taken out of the toaster by now, so take it out. Then, suing a spoon, scoop the chunks of avocado out onto your toast. Add as much or as little avocado as you want. Finally, pinch on some garlic salt and pepper (don’t put on too much garlic salt because it may get very salty)

Nutritional Value• Avocado’s are packed with many of the nutrients

that your body needs. Avocado’s have fiber, potassium, vitamin E, B vitamins, folic acids, and much more. They reach the AHA (American Heart Association) standards as one of the fruits that help lesson the risk of cardiovascular disease. They also meet the standards to many other health organizations. Avocado’s are said to be in the “fats” food group, this is okay because we needs some fat in our body, and avocado’s contain the good kinds of fats that we wants and need. On the food pyramid, avocado’s are in the category in the middle of it.

Closing• Yes avocados are very good for you, but you need

to limit your consumption due to of coarse the fat content whether bad or good. At the most you should eat 2 whole avocado’s a day.
