ICSI Signs Agreements for New Facility On April 29th the Ile a la Crosse Com-munications Society Inc. (ICSI) Board of Directors signed agreements to con-struct a new facility for ICSI and CILX Radio. Chairperson Gerald Roy said “we have been in dire need of a new facility for many years as the current building that houses ICSI Communications Inc. has served its purpose and it needs to be replaced. The new facility will bring with it a new focus, a new approach to communications, and new way of con-ducting business and providing valua-ble services for the residents of our community. Securing the financing for the project has been a learning experi-ence for the board and the staff and to finally see this project come to fruition shows the hard work, desire and dedi-cation of all involved. This project could not be possible without the dedication and commitment of our CILX Radio listeners, subscribers of ICSI Cable Inc., and the sup-port from our TV and Radio bingo players, Thank You!” Manager, Jansen Corrigal added “We’ve been working up to this day for over 2 years. There were many hurdles that we had to man-age and requirements to be met. We still have a lot of work to do before completion, but signing the agreements is a big day for us and the community” The new facility will be built behind our existing facility. It will be 2400 square feet and will feature a Board Room, Bingo Sales Of-fice, Cable Sales Office, Radio/Recording Room, Technical Room and Managers Office. We will also be installing a 120 foot radio tow-er, up from our current 50 foot tower , substantially increasing our radio coverage for our radio listeners. Stay tuned to CILX Radio and our upcoming newsletters for pro-
gress reports and timelines for construction of our community
owned facility.
ICSI Chairperson Gerald Roy along with Vice-Chairperson Nathan Favel and Secretary
Joyce Gardiner sign agreements for new facility.
