Get In The Game Growing up and being involved in youth sports the one thing I did not like was sitting on the bench. As a youngster I did not understand why I would have to sit on the bench and take a breather so that all my teammates could play. I wanted to play the whole game every game. Using this analogy I would like to remind you of a biblical principle. God's Word teaches us that as followers of Christ we are called to get in the game, to get involved, to participate. Christians are not called to be spectators but participants. With that said, let me ask you a question, Where are you serving? Where are you involved? How are you using your gifts and talents? As we continue to work to provide different opportunities for you to be involved I want to challenge you to find a place to get plugged in. We have opportunities in each of our age graded ministries on Sunday mornings: preschool, children, stu-dents and adults. We have opportunities on Wednesday nights to serve (preschool, children's, students, choir, orchestra) or to grow through Bible Study and prayer. If you are interested in getting in-volved in any of these areas and need more information please con-tact me or one of our other pastors and we will help you. Get plugged in and get in the game.
