How to Make a “Happy Birthday” Card

Before I begin

Make sure you save your file and name your file every 15 minutes in case you forget or the computer could go wrong. So, let’s get started.

1. Click the Start button.

2. Click All Programs.

3. Click Microsoft Office.

4. Click the program called “Microsoft Office Word 2007.”

5. Click Page Layout.

6. Click Page Borders.

Click on the arrow where it says Art and choose whatever you want as longs it is associated with birthday. For example, balloons or cake.

10. Click Insert.

If you don’t want to change the margin that displays on the screen, skip this step, otherwise, click Options to change margins of your choice.

11. Click Insert.

12. Click Clip Art or Picture. It’s up to you. I have prepared many pictures from the Internet if you choose Picture option.

For Clip Art, type in the search bar “special occasion.” Remember, we are doing birthdays. Some pictures might come from the Internet.

Choose a picture that is related to birthdays. You can put as many pictures as you want, whether they’re from Clip Art or pictures provided myself.

15. Click Insert.

16. Click WordArt

17. Choose any WordArt style that you prefer.

18. Move the mouse and double click where it says “Your Text Here.”

19. Type anything you want for example:

Happy Birthday to You

or

Happy Birthday

or

If you speak another language other than English, you can put it too.

20. That’s it! Now read the bottom of the slide loud and clear.
