About this resource…This packet includes rhyming match-ups with 6 year-round themes. Each theme includes:• 2 work mats• 16 rhyming cards / matches• 2 rhyming card options

– with and without picture names• B&W Recording Sheet (optional)• “I Can” visual directions pageTo prepare the activity cut apart and laminate the work mats and the corresponding set of picture cards. (Pick which set of picture cards works best for your students.) Print a recording sheet, if using.Students can use the rhyming mats to complete this activity at a center; or just use the rhyming cards in a pocket chart center.Students will match the rhyming cards to make a rhyming pair. You can also have students turn the card face down and play a Memory matching game with a partner.A recording sheet is included for each set. Students will use crayons to color the rhyming pairs the same color – for a total of eight colors.
