Day 1: Tuesday, March 20 Southern Valley - Tipon
Upon your arrival at Cusco by or before 10:00 am, we will be waiting at the airport to pick you up then take you on a liesurely drive along the Southern Valley of Cusco where we will visit the Tipon ruins, an archaeological site where you will see an exceptional hydraulic system with vertical and horizontal channels over a staired terrace. The water f lows from underground to a fountain that distributes the water through these channels. It used to be an important agricultural production center.
You will be checking-in at the Sonesta Posada Yucay Hotel in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The Sacred Valley, at 8,000 ft. above sea level, is 600m (2,000 ft.) lower than Cusco, making it easier to adjust to the high altitude, so take your time to relax at lunch time and get acclimated.
Day 2: Wednesday, March 21 Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes
Daily MeditationBreakfast
You will visit the community in Ollantaytambo where you will get the chance to experience local life f irsthand. There is a regional artisans market there where you will f ind wonderful artists. From there, you will take a gentle hike along the water channel to the terraces and you will visit the Ollantaytambo Inca Fort, then catch the Vistadome train to Aguas Calientes. The rail journey is one of the most spectacular in the world. It follows the Urubamba river through the spectacular canyon of Vilcanota to the lost city of the Incas. Lunch will be at the Inkaterra hotel where you can rest for the remainder of the day and night.
Day 3: Wednesday, March 22 Sacred Center of Machu Picchu

After sightseeing, you will return by bus to Aguas Calientes and later you will board the Vistadome train to return to Yucay.
Day 4: Friday, March 23Moray and Salt Mines
Daily MeditationBreakfast
In the morning, you will visit Moray. The drive will be across a high rolling plain with a magnif icent view of the Andean snow peaks. Moray is a unique archaeological site characterized by depressions or natural gigantic holes on the surface of the area with contours that were used to construct farming terraces or agricultural platforms with their respective irrigation canals. What powerfully calls the attention is the difference of annual average temperature between the highest areas and the bottom of the depressions, which manages to register at 15 C (in the principal depression of approximately 30 meters deep). Because of its climatic conditions and other characteristics, Moray was an important center of domestication, acclimatization and hybridization of vegetables and wild plants that were modif ied or adopted for human consumption.
After Moray, you will continue towards the famous salt ponds of Maras, where the local people have been processing and harvesting salt for over 1,000 years. From the salt mines, you will return to the Sonesta Posada Yucay Hotel where you will continue your stay.
