This child’s school backpack provides an interesting way for your child to explore the world. What’s more, it makes you feel more relaxed when walking or on the move. You can knock down the rein to become a mini backpack, it has many uses and the children will love it. This rucksack is suitable for children who are aged from 1-4 years old.
Black and White Pack This pack includes 30 high contrast black and white images cards and 12 sensory squares. Designed specifically to stimulate the vision, focus and attention with multisensory appeal. The sensory squares are bright with colourful appliqué motifs on one side – flower, tree, dog, car, crab, strawberry. They have black and white patterns on the reverse for shape recognition.

Black Out Sheets

This set of 6 ultra-bright LED torches are great for exploring light and shadows without the worry of replacing batteries or having a dim light. Easi-Torches will provide a constant brightness for up to 3 hours and can be placed to recharge in the hub once their battery is low. Mathmos Bump Lamp
This is a portable indoor or outdoor LED light. Bump for colour changing or white light. Bump Lamp is a portable, rechargeable lantern with a unique 'bump' switch mechanism which allows you to choose between 4 light settings. Tap the top of the light to switch between white and colour changing light.
Simply return Bump to its charging base when it runs low. Bump will last for up to six hours before it needs recharging and may also be used at full power on the base.

Weighted Blanket
Weighted blankets should not be loaned to families from the toy library without first consulting with an occupational therapist.
If a family expresses an interest in borrowing a weighted blanket a member of staff from the C&F centre should email Amanda Sangster (Professional Lead for paediatric occupational therapy) who will arrange contact the family to discuss provision.
Email contact: amanda.sangster2@nhs.net NB The Weighted Blanket is to be kept at Lyndhurst Road C&FC, but not stored in the Sensory Toy Library and only lent out to families when discussed with an Occupational Therapist fully with the family beforehand.

Box? Children cannot wait to get their hands inside this soft machine washable box to find out what’s inside. The adorable box is packed with 10 different sensory objects for children to feel and explore – like a butterfly with silky wings, a cute lion with a corduroy coat, a shiny frog which squeaks and more. The 18cm cube has a 10cm opening allowing little hands easy access.
