Long Term Care Facility• Refers to any of a range of institutions that
provide health care to people who are unable to manage independently in the community
• Facilities may provide short and long-term rehabilitative services as well as chronic health care management

LTC Disaster Challenges• LTC facilities serve the medically fragile,
who may be more severely impacted by disasters
