Submerge Your Kids In God's Word at VBS the week of April 4th-8th Take your kids on an adventure like no other, deep within the mysterious sea. As kids submerge themselves in God’s Word, they will discover that Jesus didn’t just see what’s on the outside of people. He looked deep down on the inside. So grab your goggles, step into your flippers, and dive in to find truth below the surface! "Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my concerns. See if there is any offensive way in me; lead me in the everlasting way." Psalm 139:23-24 (HCSB) Motto: Jesus sees. Jesus knows. Jesus saves.
Help us prepare by pre-registering for VBS at Welcome Desk. VBS classes are available for children 3 yrs of age through 6th grade.

Bloomfield Baptist Family: “But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.” Daniel 3:18 We looked this past Sunday at the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego from Daniel 3. The question at the heart of this chapter is about worship. In the story these three men stood resolutely before an angry king and refused to give their worship to his gods or his idol. Most of us will not be tempted to fall down and worship a 90 foot tall golden statue. However, we will all be tempted to give our worship to other things. But why is idolatry such an evil and fool-ish thing? Here are a few reasons: 1. Idolatry exchanges worship of the creator for created things.
Paul talks about this in Romans 1:24-25. When you worship the idols of your heart (money, possessions, family, chil-dren, etc…) you are worshipping something that is created by God rather than God who created them. Only God is wor-thy of our worship.
2. Idolatry will keep you permanently dissatisfied. Only Christ can satisfy your heart. To worship anything else will only be a let down because the stuff you worship is only temporary, not eternal. The things that steal your worship just weren’t created to fulfill you in the way that you want them to.
3. Idolatry is dangerous because you become what you wor-ship. This just makes sense. If you worship material stuff, you will spend lots of money trying to get as much as you can; you will work endlessly to be able to afford all the stuff. You will become superficial and shallow because you wor-ship things that are superficial and shallow. You were made in God’s image and to worship him alone.
Let’s all pray that God will give us the grace we need to root out the idols we have in our hearts and worship him alone. Blessings in Christ, Pastor Nick
