Pre-Kindergarten Programs are committed to excellence, children, and
to making your child's first experience in school a success. Building a
community of lifelong learners.
At our Learning Safari pre-Kindergarten location, the curriculum is designed to teach
pre-K fundamentals: letter and sound recognition, language arts, math, science, arts
and music. Our daily routine also includes plenty of opportunity for imagination-
inspired play, creative and artistic expression and for developing the social skills and
self-confidence that will make the transition to Kindergarten easier. The year before
Kindergarten is so important; we want our graduates to feel ready and enthusiastic
when they go.

Core Knowledge® curriculum presented in meaningful activities that
foster skill attainment. Reading, Spanish, art, music, dance, yoga,
soccer, and math.
Our play-based environment utilizes an emergent curriculum that is
developmental, hands-on, sensory and active. Our goal is to invite a
love of learning, foster curiosity and encourage an attitude of “I'll try”.
We believe that preschoolers thrive with a developmentally-
appropriate curriculum that's child-centered.

SunGarden Montessori Children’s House is a small, non-profit AMI
(Association Montessori Internationale) recognized school for 2 1/2 -
6 year old children. Since 1980, we have been located in a charming
house across the street from Sunset Park, remodeled to create 2 lovely
classrooms. This space provides a warm and welcoming environment
for young children. Highly trained teachers create a nurturing,
respectful atmosphere in which children learn and grow at their own
pace, enjoying a wide variety of thoughtfully chosen activities. The
outdoor environments have been designed for children’s exploration,
discovery, play, gardening and nature activities.

WLCP was established in 1977 as a parent coop preschool. We are a
self-governing, not-for-profit preschool and a member of Parent Child
Preschools of Oregon (PCPO). We are non-discriminatory and
encourage diversity in our membership. Exposure to a wide array of
new activities in a social setting is a high priority. WLCP provides a
broad range of play equipment, expressive materials and learning
experiences in a no-pressure, non-academic environment. Socialization
is gently encouraged while maintaining a high level of respect for each
child's unique and wonderful self. We are a "families working
together‟ school.
