introduce London.We are going to London on 30
january and we will return on 3 february with the
highschool.In London we are going to
visit a lot of famous places.
British Museu
m
The British Museum is a museum of the city of London,UK.This museum encompass topics such as
history , ethnography and art.The museum was one of the first institutions of its
kind in Europe. The British Museum keeps over seven million objects from all continents. in the British
Museum is the British Library, which until 1973 joined of the museum. Section of Ancient Egypt is the largest
in the world after the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.Admission to the museum and many of the
services offered, such as the reading-room, are free and free, except for some temporary exhibitions.
Tate Modern
Tate Modern is the British National Museum of Modern Art. It is located in central London and is part of the Tate
museums along with Tate Britain, Tate Liverpool and Tate St Ives. It is housed in the former Bankside power
station, originally designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott and built in two phases between 1947 and 1963. The power plant was closed in 1981and the building was converted into a museum. Since its opening on May 12, 2000 has become the second biggest attraction London. In 2007 was the modern art museum world's most visited .Free
admission for permanent display, while temporary exhibitions are free and paid according to their
character. Building Tate Modern has been a boost to the economic and cultural development of the Southwark
area in which it is situated.
The Dungeons Museum
The London Dungeon is a popular London tourist attraction, which
recreates various gory and macabre historical events in a grimly comedic 'gallows humour' style, attempting to make them appealing to younger audiences. It uses a mixture of live
actors, special effects and rides.Opening in 1974, it was initially designed as more a museum of
"horrible history´´.
Big Ben
The Big Ben is known as the clock tower.Its official name was Clock Tower
until June 26, 2012, but in honor of Elizabeth II was named as Elizabeth
Tower.Is the third tallest tower in the world. The tower celebrated its 150
anniversary on May 31, 2009.The tower was completed in 1858 and the clock
became operational on September 7,1859. It has become one of the most
famous symbols of London and England, and localization element of films set in the
city.
Buckingham palace
Buckingham Palace is the official residence of the British monarch in London. The palace is used for ceremonies and state visits, sightseeing and as a
residence by Queen Elizabeth II. The palace, originally known as Buckingham House ,was
originally a little hotel built for the first Duke of Buckingham. With the arrival of Queen Victoria of England, Buckingham Palace became the official
residence of the monarchy. During the nineteenth and twentieth centuries made some reforms in the palace, which was conducted in 1913 and gave the
palace its current main façade, including the balcony where the royal family greets.
The artificial lake was created in 1828 and receives water from the Serpentine Lake, the lake that is
located in Hyde Park.
The Tower of London
The Tower of London is a historic castle located on the north bank of the River Thames in central London, England. It was founded towards the end of 1066 The White Tower, which gives its name to the whole castle was built by William the Conqueror in 1078 then at least 1100,
the castle was used as a prison.On the whole, the Tower is a complex of several buildings set within two concentric rings of defensive walls and a moat, the castle was
expanded in several phases. The general layout of the late thirteenth century has remained despite subsequent activity.
The Tower of London has played a prominent role in English history. It was besieged several times and have it controlled was important to control the country. At the end of the fifteenth century, the castle
became a prison.During the World Wars, the tower was used as a prison again. After the wars, the damage was repaired and the castle reopened to the
public. Today, the Tower of London is one of the most famous tourist attractions of the country. Maintenance is carried out by the charity Historic Royal Palaces, and in 1988 was declared a World Heritage
Site by Unesco.
Oxford Street
Oxford Street is one of the great streets of London, England, located in the City of Westminster, and one of the world's most famous streets
for shopping. With over 300 stores, is the largest shopping
street in the world.It occupies about 2,000 meters.
Oxford Street intersects with other famous London streets including Park Lane, New Bond Street and
Regent Street.
Chelsea Stadium
Stamford Bridge is a football stadium located in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, London.
Is Chelsea Football stadium capacity is 41,837 Club.Making it the eighth floor in the Premier League.Opened in 1877, the stadium was used by the London Athletics Club until 1905.The Chelsea has played their
home games since then Stamford Bridge has been used as the venue for England internationals, FA Cup Final, FA Cup semi-finals and Charity Shield games. He has
also received numerous other sports, like cricket union, rugby, track racing, greyhound racing, baseball and football. The stadium's highest official attendance is

LondonEye
The London Eye, also known as the Millennium Wheel, completed in 1999 and opened in March 2000, was the
largest Ferris wheel in the world-viewpoint until the opening of the Star of
Nanchang in May 2006, and later Singapore Flyer in 2008 . The London Eye reaches a height of 135 m on the western end of Jubilee Gardens, on the
South Bank of the Thames, London Borough of Lambeth, between
Westminster and Hungerford bridges. The wheel is next to County Hall and outside the offices of the Ministry of
Defence.
