Linklater Christmas Concert
Our Primary students will be presenting a Christmas Celebration Concert on Wednesday, December 13th at 6:30 pm in the Gymnasium of Gananoque Intermediate and Secondary School. Inclement Weather Date: Thursday, December 14th in the gym at Linklater. As space is limited there will be two shows, 9:00 am and 12 noon.
Gingerbread Houses!
On Thursday, December 21st at 12:30 pm Mrs. Latchmore’s and Mrs. Brown’s kindergarten
class will be decorating gingerbread houses. Children are asked to bring a small amount of Peanut-free candy to decorate their houses (e.g. smarties, licorice, gum drops). This is an opportunity for parents to join their children in a
fun activity at school.
Linklater is collecting donations for the Gananoque Food Bank Dec 5th—Dec 18th
Linklater Public School is collecting donations for the Gananoque Food Bank between December 5th and December 18th. The Gananoque Food Bank is always in need of items such as canned goods, boxed food items, toilet paper, diapers, paper towels, peanut butter, pasta, etc. Donations can be dropped off at the office or sent to school with your child. Thank you.
Food Drive - By Rafferty Olsen “Let’s make everyone’s Christmas special! Help Linklater collect 600 items for the food drive. We will be collecting until December 18th. Go home and check your cupboards!”
CONGRATULATIONS!
During the month of November we had a “keep our hallways neat” contest. Classes
were given the challenge of keeping their section of the hallway neat, tidy and free of
tripping hazards. The class that had the neatest and most tidy hallway during the month
won a pizza party! Congratulations to Mr. Kellar’s grade 5/6 class! They will celebrate
with a pizza party on December 12.

The Big Test by Julie Danneberg Review by: Mason Tompkins
In this story there is a test going to happen. Mrs. Hartwell the teacher told her class that the test will be about everything they learned. The class was worried and they started to feel sick. Emily had a headache and Maria felt shivery. The class was reading but Andy could not. Mrs. Hartwell felt sad. Daniel had gone to the nurse and she also felt really bad. It was Friday, the test day. Everyone was really nervous. They just needed to stop worrying and just relax. The class did just that and when the students finished they felt good, really good. This would be a good book to borrow and read before our EQAO testing.
Volleyball is a good sport, it is a moving sport activity.
