Deliver Performance Metrics. Management Decisions

• Customers demand:• Easy monitoring of KBMs

• Data mining

• Fast, simple interpretation of data

• SampleManager 10.0 includes interactive charting controls:• Embedded explorer forms for flexible data selection

• Interactive charts:2D Pie, 3D Pie, Point, Area, Bar,

Line, Stacked Line, Stacked Bar, 3D Bar

• Dashboards can provide interactiveperformance monitoring capability

Performance over time

10

Deliver Performance Metrics. Management Decisions

Dashboard to show Laboratory Performance over time, By Project etc

11

Optimised use of stocks, instruments and personnel

Dashboards to manage stock by type

Dashboards to manage stock by location

12

Optimised use of stocks, instruments and personnel

13

Increased Automation, reduce paper based operation

• Barcoding• Sample IDs

• Sample Points IDs

• Location IDs

• Operator IDs

• Instrument IDs

• Software function IDs

14

Label Templates

Label design, includes extensive label stationary and barcode formats

Label templates can be associated with any

entity – e.g. Samples, Hazards, Sample

Points, Instruments

Design Option allows you to generate the layout of your label

15

Reduce Implementation, Upgrade, IT & Training costs

• Standard IT Infrastructure• .NET Architecture

• Standard technologies for configuration and customisation

• Standard technologies for Integration (OPC, XML etc.)

• Web and/or Windows Client deployment

• Planned and developed upgrade paths

• SQL Server and Oracle database support

16

Ease of Use

• The Industry requires:• Up-to-date, flexible user environment

• Personalised profiles

• Graphical Dashboards

• SampleManager 10.0 includes modern data visualization controls:• Interactive gauges to represent numeric values

• Picture buttons and hotspots

• Hyperlinks and web pages

• All of which can be used to create user or role

specific landing pages

Knowledge Transfer and eLearning

• Professional Training for Core Team• IT

• Laboratory Super Users

• On Site or at Regional Training Centres

• Standard Functionality, Documentation. Certified.

• Operational Training• Core Team

• Internal Support Group

• eLearning• New employees

• External Users / Customers

21

Standard Functionality. Little or no customisation

• Built for Purpose• Help Files

• User Manuals

• System Management Manuals

• Training Courses

• Test Scripts

• Instrument Integration Templates

• Process System connectivity• AspenTech

• OSI PI

• Yokogowa

• Honeywell

• ...

• ERP connectivity• SAP

22

Facilitate Integration

• How much of your time is spent doing this?

23

According to SDI’s latest survey – a great deal.

24

Integration Manager

• One solution• Instruments

• Process Systems

• ERP

25

Improved Quality of Data

• Usefulness

• Validity and Confidence

26

Improved Quality of Data delivery

Graphs can be easily added to plot result trends and visualise data

This example uses no code at all –just data binding to prompts

27

Improved Quality of Data delivery

• “Useful” Information from Data

28

Improved Quality of Data delivery

Maps can be used to display locations or sampling points using positional information

Left Clicking on the pin updates the sample

results

29

Improved Quality of Data delivery

Emissions Monitoring shown as “bubbles” on a map – the size and colour of the circle

relates to the results from the Sample Point

Clicking on the hotspot takes you to the menu option/data of your

choice

30

Improved Quality of Data delivery

“Bubbles” on a floor plan – the size and colour of the circle relates to the result

values from the Sample Point

Gauges can be used to represent pertinent parameters such as the room temperature

31

Improved Quality of Data delivery

Charts can be overlaid, and

different styles can be

mixed and matched

32

Assured Quality – ISO17025

• Instrument Calibration Servicing and Maintenance (ICMS)

• Management of Control Sample Exceptions

• Management of Stocks, Standards and Reagents

• Management of Training Records

• Storage of Measurement of Uncertainty

33

Operator Training

Training records are held against the Operator

Preparations Instruments

Required Training is held against the Analysis

Trained Operators are determined and shown

34

Operator Training Runtime

A new privilege controls which users can override training records for exceptional circumstances

Results are read only if the operator is correctly trained

A mandatory comment is enforced when the override

option is used

35

Measurement Traceability

• Instrument, Operator and Date are stored against results• Gives the exact instrument configuration and state• Shows who was operating the instrument

• Calibration samples linked to instrument

This completes the circle – we can determine which instrument was involved with a reading

and what state it was at. We can also prove that the operator was trained in it’s use

36

Sample Scheduling

Schedule record allows you to group together multiple Sampling Points

Analysis / Test schedules under each Sample Point and assigned a frequency

Control when a schedule is active and if it is grouped

37

Sample Scheduling

Predict Sampling for a time range

Allows refinement before saving

Each Sample Point has a different

colour

Calendar can be viewed by month,

day, week etc
