One of Liliana Alves´s pieces might be a necklace worn during the day or a belt come the night, while a brooch might just as easly transform into an earring, as design is placed at service of functionality and aesthetics.This process of methamorphosis ia a long way from that immortalised by kafka, but it is loaded with the same sense of surprise.

If silver and contemporary filligree are characteristic features of her work, it doesn´t stop there, she will mix them with diverse materials, such as pearls, precious stone and ceramics.
