Bond in the carbon fibre base (Araldite 2011)

When set, machine paddle inner profile to form location spigot 5mm deep

Left clamp foot – located with precision dowel

Right clamp foot – spigot 14 + 0.000 / – 0.008 mm located in precision machined slot 14 + 0.002 / -0.010 mm

Dress open end of paddle to fit drilling jig – spigot and length

Drill holes Bond in M2.5mm inserts

Apply thin layer of Araldite 2011 to the machined spigot on base

Fasten onto fixture Apply layer of adhesive to inside of

paddle Offer paddle to base Hold in position with M2.5mm screws

Hold in fixture Grind substrate mounting face to

set distance from centreline

Re-inspect following grinding of mounting face
