thisfirstBesuretofollowtheimportanttipsgivenheretogetthemostuseandenjoymentoutofyourcomputer.Failuretodosomightleadtodiscomfortorinjury,orcause

yourcomputertofail.Protectyourselffromtheheatthatyourcomputergenerates.Whenyourcomputeristurnedonorthebatteryischarging,thebase,thepalmrest,andsomeotherpartsmaybecomehot.The

temperaturetheyreachdependsontheamountofsystemactivityandthelevelofchargeinthebattery.Extendedcontactwithyourbody,eventhroughclothing,couldcausediscomfortorevenaskinburn.•Avoidkeepingyourhands,yourlap,

oranyotherpartofyourbodyincontactwithahotsectionofthecomputerforanyextendedtime.•Periodicallytakehandsfromusingthekeyboardbyliftingyourhandsfromthepalmrest.Protectyourselffrom

theheatgeneratedbytheacpoweradapter.Whentheacpoweradapterisconnectedtoanelectricaloutletandyourcomputer,itgeneratesheat.Extendedcontactwithyourbody,eventhroughclothing,maycauseaskinburn.•Do

notplacetheacpoweradapterincontactwithanypartofyourbodywhileitisinuse.•Neveruseittowarmyourbody.Preventyourcomputerfromgettingwet.Toavoidspillsandthedangerofelectricalshock,keepliquids

awayfromyourcomputer.Protectthecablesfrombeingdamaged.Applyingstrongforcetocablesmaydamageorbreakthem.Routecommunicationlines,orthecablesofanacpoweradapter,amouse,akeyboard,aprinter

utitinsleep(standby)mode.•Putitinhibernationmode.Thiswillhelptopreventdamagetothecomputer,andpossiblelossofdata.Handleyourcomputergently.Donotdrop,bump,scratch,twist,hit,vibrate,push,orplaceheav

yobjectsonyourcomputer,display,orexternaldevices.Carryyourcomputercarefully.•Useaqualitycarryingcasethatprovidesadequatecushioningandprotection.•Donotpackyourcomputerinatightlypackedsuitcaseorbag.

•Beforeputtingyourcomputerinacarryingcase,ensurethatitisoff,insleepmode,orinhibernationmode.Donotputacomputerinacarryingcasewhileitisturnedon.
