Fixed Motors Drum Drive SystemEaton closed-circuit variable piston pumps are available in displacements from 64 to 125 cc (3.89 to 7.62 cid) with a maximum operating pressure of 420 bar (6,000 psi). They deliver high efficiency, precision control, and durability, ensuring years of highly productive, cost-effective service. A rugged, swash plate bearing design provides the reliability needed to keep concrete flowing day after day. Eaton’s durable, field-proven pump design has been in use for decades and continues to be a global standard on transit mixers.
Eaton’s fixed motors offer both open- and closed-circuit operation, providing vehicle designers greater flexibility than ever before. They are offered in 54 to 125 cc (3.3 to 7.6 cid) displacements with a maximum speed up to 4,160 rpm. The axial piston motors deliver the high efficiency and durability demanded in transit mixer applications, ensuring long, cost-effective service life.
The Eaton DrumMaster™ electronic drum drive system is a field-proven electronic control system that maintains constant mix speed, regardless of vehicle transit speed. The driver-independent drum control streamlines vehicle operation and improves mix quality. It also reduces power usage, improving vehicle dynamics. As a result, fuel costs and vehicle emissions are reduced.
Innovation Worldwide
Leading transit mixer manufacturers have partnered with Eaton to offer innovative solutions that improve vehicle functionality. For example, an OEM is using an Eaton EFX controller and accompanying CONTROL F(x)™ programming software to control solenoid valves that power conveyor, auger, and boom functions. The Eaton electrohydraulic architecture has greatly reduced wiring and wiring labor requirements, as well as simplified custom changes.
Eaton’s electronic multiplex switch modules are a J1939 standard and include a master module and up to seven expansion modules per CANbus node. They offer a high level of flexibility with top, center, and bottom LED lighting and software that provides unlimited circuit and light choices, such as dimming and flashing options. A mechanical and electrical life of 200,000 minimum operations translates into long, reliable service.
The unique design of Eaton’s AccuProx analog inductive sensors ensures absolute linearity from one end of a sensing band to the other. Offering excellent precision and reliability, the sensors simplify the control system and logic associated with monitoring the position of a vehicle's moving part. They are offered in an industry-standard tubular package in a variety of sizes and connectivity options to fit in any onboard application.
Eaton’s E31 multiplex keypad modules offer a flexible and sealed solution for high-density switch requirements in severe environments. The modules are fully compliant with J1939 messaging with a master module and up to seven expansion modules per CANbus node. They are sealed to IP68 from the front and rear of the module and include a panel seal.

of spiral hose constructions for all types of applications. Eaton’s 4- and 6-wire hose is well-suited for a vast array of both industrial stationary and on- and off-highway mobile applications. It is designed to meet the most demanding applications, providing maximum durability and long-lasting performance.
Eaton’s Walterscheid metric tube fittings are engineered to meet and exceed DIN 2353 and ISO 8434-1 in the sizes and configurations required in the transit mixer market. Walterscheid tube fittings offer best-in-class pressure capabilities and provide the highest quality leak-free solutions in the industry to assist in the greatest amount of vehicle uptime. They are engineered to specific application requirements and optimized to provide ease of installation and lower operating cost per mile.
Eaton offers the broadest range of threadless connectors in the industry. The patented STC technology is the benchmark threadless connection for mobile equipment OEMs. Its reusable design and direct porting capability offer the most design flexibility of any threadless connector available. The connector’s visual latch verification provides the safest assurance that male and female halves are aligned properly. STC connectors are available in sizes ¼” to 1”.
With Eaton’s new LifeSense condition-based, hydraulic hose monitoring system, hydraulic hose failures will no longer be a major concern for transit mixer fleets. LifeSense hose monitors the health of hydraulic hose assemblies, detects events that have been shown to be symptomatic of the hose beginning to fail, and notifies the user prior to failure with enough time to replace hose before it fails.
Eaton offers engineered components and assemblies for a wide range of A/C and refrigeration systems. Hose materials range from barrier to nylon veneer. A real standout is GH134 hose that offers the lowest permeation rating of any multi-refrigerant hose. Tested to SAE J2064 and beyond, the hose reduces greenhouse emissions while retaining excellent flexibility and kink resistance.
Eaton’s broad line of quick-disconnect couplings ranges from simple air couplings to complex hydraulic constructions. The Eaton line includes Hansen and Gromelle brands that offer a full range of hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid transfer couplings meeting a variety of SAE and ISO specifications.

Clogging IndicatorsEaton offers a full range of hydraulic filters for mobile and industrial applications. Incorporating the Eaton Systemic Contamination Control process, Eaton filtration products make it easy to achieve a desired level of system cleanliness. This process assists in proper filter selection and periodic sampling of fluid to guard against dirt and debris from entering a hydraulic system.
The Eaton CCS4 contamination control system enables users to monitor the fluid cleanliness of hydraulic and lubrication systems and provides laboratory-quality particle count and water saturation results in the field. Via system software, users download test results and analyze cleanliness trends over time. Taking samples directly from a hydraulic system is easy with an accompanying bottle sampling system.
In addition to an operating filter, effective oil service for hydraulic and lubrication systems requires a filter unit for off-line filtration, oil change, and filling. Eaton’s mobile and stationary off-line filtration units improve the cleanliness and quality of the operating fluid and prolong its durability, thereby preventing early wear and tear of system components.
Eaton’s differential pressure clogging indicators and gauges monitor the life of hydraulic filters. Used in conjunction with PLC or indicator warning lights, the clogging indicators signal a user when it is time to change the element, allowing maximum element service life.
