Anything used or intended for use in a) causing death or injury b) threatening or intimidating a person

What about prohibited weapons?
Restricted firearms (must be registered)Hand guns not prohibited, semi-automatic with
length of 470mm and less, telescopic or folding firearms

PAL (Possession and Acquisition License) required for firearm registration
Must be 18, lasts five yearsAge 12-17 need parent consent and

Firearms offences
Min 1 yr for using a firearm during indictable offence – max 14 years 2nd offence min 3 yrs
Some offences 4 yr min (attempted murder, manslaughter, sexual assault, etc)
Some 5 yrs – criminal organization
