Equipment • Digital SLR • Interchangeable lenses

– Wide angles – Plan ahead, buy the best (L) you can afford

• Memory cards/hard drives (x2) • Tripod

– Sturdy, but light – Remote shutter release or camera 2s timer

• Filters – 3x neutral density and grad ND, circular polarizer

• Do your lenses all have same front element diameter (72 or 77mm)?

• Camera backpack – Comfortable, weatherproof, discrete

• Photo editing software – Lightroom or Photoshop w/ Nik Veveza 2 plug-in (must have!)

Know how to use your camera • What mode should I use?

– Aperture (Av) ! • Take control of the f-stop (and film speed/ISO) • The camera does the rest!

• What ISO should I use? – As low as you can!

• Grainy images above ISO 400

• When do I need a tripod? – Not always!

• Shutter speeds slower 1/100s

• When do I need filters? – Almost always!

• When do my images need photo editing? – Always!
