• Is this only for LA and SS?– NO! Story means “Information
Sharing”
• Do you have to be a “techie”?– NO! Digital Storytelling can be very
simple.
• What do I need?– A computer
Advantages• Visually stimulating• Engages “digital natives”• Cross curricular (with Computer Lit)• Helps students think outside the
traditional• Share work quickly with parents• Helps students work on planning
It’s fun!!!
Disadvantages
• Can be time consuming• Grading must be done on computer• Technical difficulties/lack of
technology • Copyright issues• “Technology” overtakes content• Kids might not like it
PowerPoint• Microsoft Office• Create “Slides” of information
