Kindergarten Distance Learning Calendar for the week of April 13th.
As you complete activities, please check them off in the boxes below. We understand family circumstances are all different, so please use this as it best fits your family and complete what you can. On Friday, send a picture of this calendar page to your teacher through email or Bloomz. You can also turn it in on Monday when you pick up the next week’s packet. Reading
Read to your favorite stuffed animal for 10-15 minutes
Read letter Gg worksheet. Color a star each time you read it.
Find a cozy place outside to read for 10-15 minutes.
Read the sight word “ of ” worksheet. Color a star each time you read it.
Snuggle up and read to your pet for 10-15 minutes.
Writing
Write and make a picture about what you did over the weekend. Don’t forget finger spaces and punctuation.
Write the following “Gg” words and make a picture to go with them:

Write about your favorite animal. Why is it your favorite? Make a picture to go with it and label it.
Choose one way to practice your sight words. Tell what you chose.
Where is your favorite place to go. Why is this your favorite place?
Math
Practice counting by 2’s to 20. Complete the worksheet 8.1.
Rainbow Write your numbers to 20 using crayons, chalk or with anything colorful.
Practice counting by 5’s to 20. Complete worksheet 8.3.
Count to 100 aloud by 1’s and 10’s.
Write your numbers to 50.
Extra Sight Word Practice Ideas
1.Make an extra set of cards and play memory.
2.Go on a sight word scavenger hunt by hiding the flashcards throughout the house.
3. Create a sight word puzzle on puzzlemaker.com.
4. Build sight words with magnetic letters, beads, or play-dough.
5. Write sight words in shaving cream… fun & safe all while learning!
6. Play tic-tac-toe using sight words instead of “x” and “o.”
7. Write sight words on handprints and have children high-five the handprints and say the words before entering a common room in your home (front door, kitchen, living room).
8. Make sight words the “password” to get on tablets, laptops, or before watching TV.
