• Most U.S. youth do not meet minimum recommended amounts of whole grains
• On average, Americans eat just 42 percent of the recommended daily intake of fruits and 59 percent of vegetables
• Online surveys found 40 percent of kids (ages 2-11) ask for fast food at least once per week. Eighty-four percent of parents give in to the request
