The first step of the plant creating became the founding of the wagon-

repair shops on the metallurgical plant which was built by Poland-

Belgium-French “South-Russian-Dneprovski-Metallurgical-Society” in

Kamenskoe village (now the city of Dneprodzerzhinsk) in 1913. In

October 1926 the work shops became the separate division by the

manufacturing of two-axle boxcars.

In the 20-th the plant began manufacturing of 20-tones boxcars.

In 1937 was designed and in 1938 the manufacturing of the four-axle

dump car 60 tones capacity began.

In 1940 the rebuilding of the plant came to an end. It allowed producing

four types of wagons simultaneously. In this year 3600 large cargo wagons

had been produced.

1970-th – the plant became the leading development base of the

Ministry of Heavy Machine Building of the USSR on the creation of

special wagons of the industrial establishments.

In 1976 the plant was awarded with the Order of the Labor Red Flag for

the progress in field of wagon building.

On the basis of the wagon building plant and some of it divisions in July

1993 the Industrial Union “Dneprovagonmash” was created, and in

December 1993 – the Open Joint Stock Company “Dneprovagonmash”

was founded.

In 2018, Open Joint Stock Company "Dneprovagonmash" was

reorganized into a Private Joint Stock Company.

• Annual production capacity - 9000 wagons.

Railcars

Its over 160 models of rail wagons practically all types

for different spheres of industries:

- gondola cars

- flat cars

- covered cars

- hoppers

- dumpcars

- wagons for coke production

- specialized technological vehicles

New unique design

- the increased body volume of 133 m3;

- the unloading is carrying out into the intra-rail space through six unloading hatches, which allows faster unloading;

- the sealing of the hatch covers has a labyrinth (non-hermetic) design that is heavily unloaded, excludes the formation of

a vacuum inside the body and, as a consequence, deforms the body shells;

- the number of loading hatches on demand can be 4 or 5;

- the structure of the load-bearing elements of the car frame is the optimal combination of cross-sections of longitudinal

bearing elements;

- the car body structure provides the necessary cargo discharging due to the arrangement of the projecting load-bearing

elements of the car body.

Innovative car on the bogie mod. 18-7020, with an axial load of 23,5 tons

Gondola car mod. 12-4106-01

The developed design of gondola car meets all the requirements for innovative cars, thus:

- capacity increased to 70.6 tons;

- tare reduced to 23,6 tons;

- volume increased to 83 cubic meters.;

- extended service life to 32 years and overhaul life.

The gondola car model is introduced in the «of Freight Car Models».
