وأهرب .... أهرب وأهرب .... تتركني أهرب تتركنيبحر .... .... وال لريح أستمع بحر .... .... وال وال لريح أستمع وال

الحوت .... أدخل حتى بحاره الحوت .... وال أدخل حتى بحاره وال

You let me escape …. and run away& do not hear the wind …. nor the sea.…

nor the sailors …. so as I would get inside the whale

Out of Your tenderness ….

الحوت جوف أدخل حينبحب .... تنتظرني هناك غفران …. أجدك لتعطيني

when I get inside the whale’s belly,I find You there …. waiting for me with love ….

to give me forgiveness

ترفضدعوتي لم انكوكصديق .... .... وكخادم كابن وتعاملني تعود

You did not reject my prayerbut moreover, You treat me again like

a son …. a servant …. and a friend

الحوت فضيحة عن أحدا تخبر وال

You let me share in Your work& You make me talk about You …. & You do not tell anyone about the

whale’s scandal

توبتي .... وتقبل تستخدمني إنكمستحق .... غير وأنا بسببي يتوبوا آخرين وتجعل

You use me …. & You accept my repentance& You make others repent because of me ….

although I am unworthy

وكبريائي وغبائي عنادي تحتملغيري آخرين مع كريما أراك حين وتذمري

You bear my stubbornness and my stupidity and my pride

and my complaining when I see Yougenerous with others

تظللني يقطينة لي ترسلتعلمني .... البهائم وحتى تؤدبني .... ودودة

You send me a plant to shade meand a worm to correct me ….

and even the beasts to teach me ….

كثيرين وعلى علي تشفقشمالهم من يمينهم يعرفون ال وتقول

You pity me and You pity many others& You say that they cannot discern

between their right hand and their left
