FromthePresidentWarrenCorby: January,20202020Membership:Membersareremindedthat2020membershipsfelldueon31stDecember.Tomaintainourinsurancecoverageofshooters,youmustproduceyourcurrentACTAbookwith2020stickerorgreenRecreationalShootercardatregistrationeachshoot.Ifyouhaven’tattendedtoyour2020membershippleasedosoassoonaspossibleandbeforeyournextshoot.JanuaryTwoDayShootaGreatSuccess:Wehad121shootersonDay1and107shootersonDay2.Thiswasagreatsuccessconsideringthedrought,firesandchallengingweatherconditionsovertheweekend.ItwasapleasuretoseeourfirstfullsquadofjuniorscompeteinourJanuaryshootandspecialcongratulationstoAaronTynanforhissecondplaceinCGradePoints.Feedbackhasbeengreatandourthanksgotothegroundstaff,ourvolunteermembertrapmechanicswhoworkedwellintothenightrepairingtrapsthatinspiteoftheservicingtheyreceivedcausedsomeproblemsonFriday.Officeandkitchenstaffaswellasmanyclubmembersallensuredourshootwentwell.IhavereceivedgoodfeedbackaboutthepizzasonSaturdaynightandweplantohaveamobilepizzaovenatourAugustshoot.Congratulationstoallconcernedinmakingthiseventagreatsuccess.TrapNews:Thecommitteeremainscommittedtothrowingthebesttargetswecan.Mostareawarewearetriallingtrapstoachievethatgoal.Inthemeantime,thecommitteehasengagedatrapmechanictooverhauloursixtrapsandreplaceanyandallpartsrequired.Themechanicisunavailableforafewmonthsbutthiswillbecompletedassoonasheisable.Onceagaintheclubisverygratefulforthehugeamountofworkourclubmaintenanceteamdoandhavedonetokeepourcurrenttrapsgoing.BushfireDonation:LyndonAnderson’ssponsorshipofthe25PairDoubleRiseonSundaywasn’twonbuthegenerouslydonatedthe$500totheRockyPointBushFireBrigadeandcombinedwith$246raisedbyourG.C.C.T.C.ladiesmorningteasatotalof$746isbeingpresentedonyourbehalftoourlocalRFS.Welldoneeveryoneconcerned.NewWebsiteDeveloping:Ourclubisdevelopinganewwebsiteanditisnowlivealbeitstillinconstructionphase.Youcanaccessitatwww.goldcoastclaytargetclub.com.Afewfeatureswehopeyouenjoyarecurrentnewsletters,detailsfornewandprospectivemembers,corporatedetailsandsomepicturesofmembersinthegallery.Whenyougetachancecheckitoutandvisitfromtimetotime.
