The Italian Netball Tour Our exciting Italian Netball tour is a fantastic opportunity for your Netball teams to be coached by experienced and enthusiastic qualified England Netball coaches and guest international coaches, and to gain competitive experience once back on home courts. A non-stop programme of coaching, team tactics, leadership and netball related activities will ensure every player has a memorable and performance-improving experience abroad. Taking place in the beautiful Lake Garda, Italy, Netball students will receive an unbeatable ground package. Delightful new opportunity in Europe as a year-round, exciting sporting venue, students receive a Netball tour-of-a-lifetime.

Lake Garda - As a Destination Lake Garda is Italy's largest and most visited lake. The lake is 51km long but only 17km wide at its widest point in the south. Picturesque villages, medieval castles, and lakeside promenades dot the shoreline. The lake has a diverse landscape with beaches along the southern shores and rocky cliffs above the northern shoreline. Lake Garda is known for its clear water; great for swimming in the summer. Windsurfing, sailing, and hiking in the many parks are popular activities. Lake Garda is situated in northern Italy between Venice and Milan and set in an alpine region formed by glaciers at the end of the last ice age. The lake and its shoreline are divided between the provinces of Verona (to the south-east), Brescia (south-west), and Trento (north). The Dolomite Mountains are not far away and can be seen towering above the lake.

Visions Netball Tour Hotel – Hotel Bella Peschiera

Hotel Bella Peschiera is a 3-star Italian hotel situated just a short walk from the lakefront and has an outdoor pool and sun terrace set in pretty gardens. You also have full use of the facilities at the sister accommodation, the Bella Italia, 500m away - including five more outdoor pools, a whirlpool and extensive sports facilities. Its special attraction is the old town centre, which is in the middle of an enormous fortress in the form of a five-sided star and completely surrounded by water. There are many nice shops and small bars in the narrow lanes of the old town. Monday is market day and surrounded by the fragrance of grilled fish and the mutual calls of the market stallholders, you really get the impression of being right in the middle of Italy. The hotel itself has been designed to provide maximum enjoyment and comfort of its guests and offers a 24-hour reception service. Its polite and friendly young staff members are there to ensure that all requirements are attended to in a courteous and helpful manner.

Sample Itinerary – Day 1 Depart from your local airport and fly to an area airport, depending on flight availability. The transfer time from Verona is about 45mins, and Venice is about 2hrs. Upon arrival, you will meet your Vision’s representative who will conduct our Welcome & Safety Meeting as well as give a brief orientation of the immediate area. You will also meet the Netball Coaches who will run through the Netball side of the tour and the programme.

Sample Itinerary – Day 2 & 3 After a leisurely breakfast, the Netball training sessions will commence. Groups will be assigned to fully qualified coaches who will work with your members of staff and deliver a programme aimed at stretching the ability of every girl. There will also be mini-games, Fast 5’s and Netball workshops each day. Beach and Lake activities will be available during their down time. Evening entertainment will include a pizza dinner on the lake and a tour of Verona on Day 2 and Day 3. Sample Itinerary –Day 4 Following breakfast at the hotel, all the coaching will be put into practice as the teams play against each other in team games against each other or any other touring teams as available. During the evening there will be a Presentation Evening where prizes will be given to the best players and most improved. This will be followed by a fun night of bowling in the town.
