Intuitiveconsciousnessandthelogicofsinglefieldphysics:Aconscioussynergyofworldviewsandtheories

Abstract:Manyscientistshavecometobelievethatanytrueunificationmodelinphysicsmustincludeaconceptofconsciousnessaswellasamodelforthemindthatinterpretstheexternalphysical/materialworld.And,thatnumberisgrowing.Thisparticularphysicalmodeldoesjustthat.Infactitgoesmuchfurther.SinceBeichler’ssinglefieldtheory(SFT)includesaphysicalmodeloftheneuralnetandexplainshowMindandConsciousnesscanemergefromthephysicsoflivingorganisms,itassimilatesmoreintuitivemodelssuchasAndrews’0-DpointVoidwhichwitnessesandco-createshigher-dimensionalRiemanniangeometricalrealitiesaswellasothermoregeneralizedphysicalmodelsofconsciousnesstoformatrulysynergisticmodelofreality.Inotherwords,physicalrealityandtheconsciousnessthatperceivesandinterpretsthatrealitybothcomefromthesamesource,theyareco-createdattheverybeginningoftheuniverse.Asingulardiscrete0-Dpoint/twistVoidemergedwithintheabsolutespaceless-timelessVoidofnothingnessthatprecededeverythingandthroughalogicalsequenceofeventsproducedeverythingthatnowexistsasouruniverse.ThissynergisticmodelgoeswellbeyondthenotionofMindandConsciousnessasmereperceiversandinterpretersoftheexternalmaterial/physicalworld.ItclearlydemonstratesthattheprecursorstoourexperienceofConsciousnessarefundamentalelementsandactiveparticipantsincreatingthephysicalworldthatweperceiveandscientificallyinterpretthroughtheapplicationofphysics.

Andrews’intuitiveapproachtoconsciousnessscienceItiswellknownthatintuitivesareoftentheverypeoplewhointimatelyexperiencefirst-hand

knowledgeofconsciousness.Theirviewsofconsciousnessandtheinnerworkingsoftheworldingeneralgreatlydifferfromthoseofordinarypeopleandthemajorityofscientists.Eventheword‘intuition’hasbeenlookeddownuponinscienceasrecentlyasafewdecadesago.Mostscientistsconsidertheirownworldviewabovereproach,believingtheirinsightsarebaseduponacuteobservationsoftheexternalworldaroundthem.Ingeneral,scientistshavehistoricallylookeddownuponalltypesofintuitiveknowledgeandhaveobstinatelyrefusedtoconsiderintuitiveknowledgeofconsciousnessandhowitworksinrelationtotheworldasawhole.Theyviewintuitivedatawithsuspicionasnomorethananecdotalevidence,withoutanyscientificvalidity.Yetthatevidenceordata,anecdotalornot,canprovidevalidobservationsofconsciousnessandhowconsciousnessworksintheworldatlarge.Sotothosefewscientistswillingtoseriouslyconsiderinformationfromintuitives,itcanseemasthoughconservativescientistsarewrongonthisissue,aswellasoverlybiasedbyactingcompletelyinanunscientificmannerwithinthebroadermeaningofscienceitself.

Keepingthisinmind,itisbothinterestingandinformativetoconsiderinsightsbroughtforwardbySperryAndrewswhoseunder-graduatedegreeinscienceandongoingstudyhasbeenenhancedasaNearDeathExperiencer(NDEr)fromtheageoffour,oversixtyyearsago.Andrewshasproposedaspeculativebottom-uptheoryinphysicsofeverythingoriginatingfromnothing,includinghowtop-

downtheories,suchasgeneralrelativityandquantummechanics,mightapproximateBeichler’ssinglefieldtheoryaswellastheoreticalmodelsthatpositaconsciousnessspaceoruniverse.AndrewsasksifthesolutiontothisquestionmaybefoundinBernhardRiemann’soriginalconceptionofspacecurvature,wherebyann-dimensionalspaceisembeddedinann+1dimensionalmanifold:i.e.,all3-Dpointsareunitedatonepointin4-D.Then,ifn=0,thatwhichisdimensionlesscouldbeembeddedin1,2,3,4,5and6-D.Ifso,allpoint-centeredeventswouldshareadynamicrelationship,aswouldeverydimensionlesspointinourcommonly-sensedphysical3-Dreality.Theoverallactioninthis0to6-D(“holomovement”)mightoffereachofusaconstant6-Dcontextthroughwhichwecanwitnessandshareexperientially.

WhatPaulLaViolettecallssub-quantumkinetics;theRussians,torsionfields;DavidBohm,pilotwaves;andRupertSheldrake,morphogeneticfields,maybeenergeticinformationthatchanges,andischanged,bytheparticipationofourbiologicalforms–affectingabio-genesisthatisbothnonlocalanduniversalinnature.BrianSwimme,DuaneElgin,theseauthors,aswellasothers,submitthatall-thingsre-originateeverymoment.Doestheabsenceofformuniteandcoordinatecountlesspotentials,possibilities,fields,forcesandparticle-likebehavior,whilealsosustainingtheindivisibilityandthere-generationofthewhole?Wewishtoshowhowthisisphysicallypossible.

Andrews’conceptionofconsciousness,asare-creativewitnessofwhatissharedinter-subjectively,coalesceswiththestructureoftheuniverseasawholebyactingonphysicalspace-timethrougha0-Dpoint-centeredVoid.HisinsightfitstheRiemanniangeometricstructureofphysicalspace-timeasexpressedinBeichler’ssinglefieldtheory.

SinglefieldtheoryandconsciousnessThesinglefieldmodelunitesgeneralrelativity,electromagnetictheory,quantumtheoryand

consciousnessbyutilizinganinterpretationofpointsinspacecalled‘twists’.Eachpointinthree-dimensionalspaceisa‘twist’(Clifford,1873,alsoPenrose’s‘twistors’)duetoitsnaturaltendencyorinnatepotentialtoactasacenterofrotationorcircularmotion,whichactsasthebeginningpointofavectorthatstretchesintothefourthdimension(Riemannianembeddingmanifold)ofspaceinafive-dimensionalspace-time.Thispoint-centeredvectorcanbeidentifiedincommonphysicswiththemagneticvectorpotential(wherespecialpatternsin3-Dspaceconstituteindividualconsciousness)andthegravneticvectorpotential(DarkEnergyinfreespaceandinertialmassinsidematerialparticles).InallcasesthevectorpotentialcanalsobeassociatedwiththestatevectorΨrepresentedbyasimilaroranalogousdualismintheformofquantumprobabilitiesψ(analogoustometricor3-Dextensionspace)andψ*(analogoustoanti-symmetricor3-Dpointspace)inquantummechanics.Inthisviewprobabilities(andindeterminism)onlyenternatureafterthedualisticsplit(asspacevstime

inHeisenberg’sUncertaintyPrinciple)whichmeansthatthestatevectorΨinitsroleastheSchrödingerwavefunctionisnotnecessarilyindeterministicinitself(assomehaveassumed).

InsofarastheSchrödingerwaveequation(simultaneously)describesthephysicalrealityofanindividualobservationandthesuperpositionofallwavefunctionsrepresentingeveryinteractionandobservationintheuniverse(whatDavidBohmcalledthequantumpotentialfield)thisfunctioncaneasilybeequatedtoquantizedcurvature(acurved’sheet’ofparallelthree-dimensionalsurfacesstackedinthefourthdimensionofspace)inthesinglefieldtheory.Sinceconsciousnesscancollapsethewavefunctiontodeterminephysicalreality,consciousnessandthesinglefieldtheoryaretiedtogetherinabranchofscienceBeichlercallsNeurocosmology.

Inhistheoreticalstructure,theroleofconsciousnesshasfundamentalimportanceasitshouldinanyunifyingtheoryofphysics.Thetwistsmanifestelectromagneticallyinthespace-timecontinuumasthefundamentalcomponentsofthemagneticvectorpotentialfieldwhereinspecialmultileveled(domain)structuresofvaryingdensitypatterns(complexitiesofmemories)formasinglefield‘holomovement’intime.Thesemagneticvectorfieldpotentialpatterns(correspondingtoourlivingbodies)emergeintheoverallsingleunifiedfieldfromtheoriginallychaoticstructuresofnewmemoriestoformthecomplexityofconsciousnessthatweperceiveinour‘selves’.Thesememorystructures(multi-leveledmagneticvectorpotentialpatterns)areformedthroughtheinteractionofmicrotubules(bio-magneticinductioncoils)andsurroundingwatermolecules(whosespinsarequantizedbyinterferencepatternsfromelectromagneticpulsesemittedbythemicrotubules)inourneurons.Infact,thewholeneuralnetcanbeexplainedonthisbasis.

Thesinglefieldtheoryitselfisanextended,andthuscompleted,versionofEinstein’sunifiedfieldtheory.ItcompletelyincorporatestheStandardModelofpointparticlesandquantumfields,althoughthephilosophicalinterpretationofthequantumtheorydiffersfromthenormallyacceptedCopenhagenInterpretation.Withinthiscontext,thepoint/twistsalsomanifestgravitationallyinthespace-timecontinuumaswhatBeichlercallsthegravnetic(normalgravity’scounterpartanalogoustotheelectricmagneticrelationship)vectorpotentialfieldwhichaccountsforwhataremistakenlycalledDarkMatterandDarkEnergyinmodernphysics.Inotherwords,DarkMatterisjustanadditional(non-localcurvature)effectofnormalbaryonicmatterthatcausesnormal(local)gravityeffects.Thisnon-localeffectcanbeexpressedbytheHeavisideequation(gravitationalequivalentoftheLorentzequationinelectromagnetictheory)inclassicalNewtonianphysicsortheanti-symmetrictensor(Einstein-Cartan-Schrödinger)inrelativitytheory.Thefourthspatialdimension,whichistheembeddingspaceorournormalthree-dimensionalspaceaccordingtoRiemanniangeometryaswellasthefifthdimensionrelativetoourfour-dimensionalspace-time,canbegeometricallymodifiedtoaccountforpoint-elements(Riemann)ortwists(Clifford)andthusdefinedtoallowtheunificationofgravityandelectromagnetisminafive-dimensionalspace-timeframework(Kaluza-Einstein-Bergmann).

Theresultingmacro-extendedembeddingspatialdimension(fourthspatialdimensionorthefifthspace-timedimension)canthenbequantizedintoparallelthree-dimensional‘sheets’(equal

collectionsofRiemanniansurfaces)withan‘effectivewidth’alongthefourthspatialdirection,literallyquantizingthespace-timecurvatureofthecontinuum.Ourthree-dimensionalmaterialrealitycorrespondstothen=1orlowestenergyquantumstate‘sheet’.Higherquantumnumbered‘sheets’(n=2,3…)arestackedinthefourthdirectionofspacelikepagesinabook.Therealexistenceofthefifthdimensionofspaceasanembeddingdimensionforourfour-dimensionalspace-timeofexperienceandthesinglefielddensityvariationsthatconstituteotherfields,materialbodiesandlife,mindandconsciousnessimpliesafurthersixthembeddingdimensionwhosegeometryandphysicalcharacteristicsareyettobe‘specified’.Thissixthembeddingdimensioncouldpossiblybethe‘place’whereacosmicconsciousness,universalcollectiveconsciousnessoraconsciousnessspace(likebutnotnecessarilyequivalenttoFaggin’sconceptofaC-space)existsthatcoulddirectlyaffectandinfluenceallofspace-time.

The1938researchofEinsteinandPeterBergmannimpliedthatutilizingahigher-dimensionalembeddingspaceshouldbethepropercourseforunifyinggravityandelectromagnetismifthephysicalcharacteristicsoftheembeddingspacecouldbecompletelyspecified,butEinsteineventuallygaveuponthatapproachbecausehecouldnotjustifyusingahyperspacewithoutanyobservationalordetectableevidencethatahigherdimensionactuallyexisted.Unfortunately,heneversuspectedthatconsciousnessinteractedwiththeuniverseasawholethroughthehigherdimensioninwhatwenormallycallintuitionorparanormallyrefertoasoursixthsense.

Ourmaterialbodiescanberepresentedinrelativitytheoryasacomplexmatter/energypattern(athree-dimensionalsurfacethatundulatesovertime)equivalenttoacomplexquantizedcurvaturepattern(four-dimensional)thatvariesinternallyovertime.Ourmindcanbemodeledasacorrespondingthree-dimensionalcomplexelectricfieldpatternwithinthequantizedcurvaturepattern.Inthisway,individualconsciousnessbecomesthemulti-leveledmagnetic(domainstructure)patternmadeupofvectorpotentialpointsinthree-dimensionalspacethatextendintothefourthdimensionofspace.Soeverylivingorganismhasaconsciousness,notjusthumansandotherhighlyevolvedanimals,thatextendsintothehigherembeddingdimensionofourcommonlyexperiencedfour-dimensionalspace-timeandrepresentseachlivingorganism’sexperientialexistence.

Thephilosophicaldebatebetweenquantumdiscretenessandrelativity’scontinuity,whichhaspoisonedrealadvancesinphysicsforthelastcentury,isactuallyamisstatementandmisrepresentationofthepoint-space(Riemann’spoint-element)versusextension-space(Riemann’smetric-element).Placingthisproblemwithinitscorrectcontextandrecognizingtheprobleminitstrueformasjustthesimplegeometricdualismofphysicalspace(pointasquantumversusextensionasmetriccurvature)resolvesthephysicalproblemsbetweenquantumandrelativity.Bothoftheseproblems,geometricalandphysicalreducetoourconsciousinterpretationofspaceandtimeasperceivedbythebrain/mind.Weperceivethree-dimensionalspaceasaunitaryorholisticconceptual‘thing’,notasthedualisticreducible‘thing’thatgeometrytellsusitis.

Sotheunresolvedproblemsofunifyingphysicscomesbacktoconsciousnessanditsinterpretativerelationshiptothenaturalworldofperceptionandhowitisrepresentedbyaparticulargeometrical

modelofspaceandtime.Whenthisisrealized,thedeterminismversusindeterminismdebatereducestonomorethan“muchadoaboutnothing”sinceneitherviewpointrepresentsphysicalreality,justhumanvanitywithregardtophysicalreality.Naturetellsushowitactsthroughourobservations,wedonottellnaturehowtoactbaseduponourphilosophicalandmathematicalinterpretationsofhowwethinknature‘should’act.Inotherwords,weoughtnotprojectourphilosophicalbiasesontheworldinanattempttounderstandhownatureworks.Thismeansthatthequantumandrelativitytheoriesarenotincompatibleashaslongbeenthought,butareinfacttotallyandcompletelycompatible.

CompletingEinstein’sunifiedfieldtheorybycombiningtheanti-symmetricapproachofErwinSchrödingerandEinstein(toaccountforDarkMatterandDarkEnergy)withthehigherembeddingdimensionapproachofTheodorKaluza(toaccountforaunifiedEMandGR),andacceptingtheconsequencesofdoingsobyaccountingforpoints,giventhisthisnewgeometricalstructure,leadstoafullunificationofthequantumandrelativitytheoriesintheformofaquantizedspace-timecurvature.ThecurvatureisquantizedbyutilizingOscarKlein’ssuggestionthattheembeddingdimension(inthiscasethefourthspatialdimension),eventhoughitisnowmacroscopicallyextended,quantizesthree-dimensionalspace(theembeddeddimensions).Eachthree-dimensional‘sheet’(stackedlikepagesinabookinthefourthdirectionofspace)isactuallyaquantizedgroupofparallelthree-dimensional(infinitesimallythick)Riemanniansurfacesintersectingandperpendiculartofour-dimensionalextensionsofthethree-spacepointsasdescribedbyEinsteinandBergmann.Inotherwords,itisourthree-dimensionallydominated(consciousnessderived)geometricalinterpretation,orrathermisinterpretation,ofspaceandtimethatisdelayingtheprogressofphysics,whichisexactlywhyanintuitiveapproachtotheproblemisneededtoovercomethedeadlockandadvancescience.

0-Dpoint/twistVoidistheoriginalsingularity

Adoptingthe0-Dpoint/twistVoidastheoriginalRiemannianpoint-elementfromwhichourRiemannianspacestructureevolvedchangeseverything.Forexample,theoriginalsingularityintheformofadimensionlesspoint-centeredprocessfromwhicheverything(orevery‘something’)inouruniverseevolved(accordingtotheBigBangtheory)hasspecificqualitiesthatseparateitfromtheabsoluteVoidof‘no-thing-ness’fromwhichitemerged.Establishinghowthese‘differ’defineshowtheevolutionofourexperiencedmaterial/physicaluniversehasproceeded,includingtheevolutionoflife,mindandconsciousness,withinthe(‘no-living-thing’)natureofmatterandenergy.

TheRiemanniangeometrythatexpressesthisunificationstartswiththediscrete0-Dpoint/twistVoidwhichcreatesourcommonlyexperiencedthree-dimensionalphysicalspace,embeddedinafourthdimensionofspace.Fromthisnothing,(with0-Dandthesinglefieldasprecursors)ourmatter/field/energyrealityemerges.Whilethisgeometryaccountsforanddescribesthecreationofthefour-dimensionalspace-timecontinuum,italsoaccountsforthedynamicalsubstantialityofourworld.Thetwistportionofthethree-dimensionaldiscrete0-Dpoint/twistmaintainsandguaranteestheintegrityofthisfundamentalunitofre-creationasitcreatesthe‘virtualtorques’(pre-force)inboth

directionsofthefourthdimension,whicharecollectivelytheprecursorsforthepotentialandanti-potentialofthesinglefield.

The‘virtualtorques’abovethethree-dimensionalsurfaceandthenegative‘virtualtorques’belowthatsurfaceinthefourthdirectionofspaceformthepotentialandanti-potential,respectively,thatcollectivelyyieldsthepurepotentialofthesinglefield.Inthepost-Riemanniangeometry,whichisbaseduponbothmetric-andpoint-elements,thehigherembeddingfourthdimensionmustbesingle-polarsphericalandthisgeometricpre-requisiteisfulfilledbythesimplefactthatthevirtualtorquesandnegativevirtualtorques(havingoppositelydirectedtwists)cometogetheratthepolarpoint.However,thesedifferencesimplytheexistenceofafurthersixthembeddingdimensionwhosegeometryiscompletelyunspecifiedexceptpossiblyatthesingle-polarpointwherethenextembeddingspacecomesintocontactwiththelowerembeddeddimensionsofspace.

Thediscretenatureofthe0-Dpoint/twistVoidalsoallowsforthequantizationofthesinglefieldandformationofquantumfieldstoberenderedintermsofRiemanniangeometry,furtherallowingquantum(matrix)mechanicsandwavemechanicstobeadequatelyexplainedasphysicalcharacteristicsofthegeometricalpoint/twists(discretequantumfieldcenters)withinthecontextofthesinglefield(whichisequivalenttoBohm’squantumpotentialfield).ThiscanalsobeinterpretedasthesuperpositionofallpossibleSchrödingerwavefunctionsforallpossiblequantumevents.

Thesinglefieldalsoservesastheprecursortoclassicalthree-dimensionalfields,suchasgravity,electricityandmagnetismaswellasmatter/energy,life,mindandconsciousness,whichcanbeexplained(Beichler2014,2015)asaspectrumofsinglefielddensitypatternsinfive-dimensionalspace.Thesestructuresformourexternalrealitywhichisessentiallyreducedtoextrinsicfour-dimensionalspace-timecurvatureinanoverallfive-dimensionalcontinuum.Theinanimatematter/energythatweperceiveinourthree-dimensionalbrain/minds(throughthree-dimensionalsensations)isnomore,nor

less,thantemporalandspatialvariationsofcurvatureofthethree-dimensionalsurface(‘sheet’)asitisextrinsicallyextendedintothehigherembeddingfourthdimensionofspace.Theseareaccompaniedbythenormalelectricandmagneticfieldsassociatedwithinanimatematterasperceivedbyus,whiletheemergenceoflife,mindandconsciousnessthroughtheevolutionaryprocessproceedsfromthedevelopmentovertimeofspecificcomplexitiesofmatter/energy,electricandmagneticfields.

TheevolutionoflifeandConsciousnessitselfhasbeeninfluencedbyandproceededfromaprimordialorprimalawarenessbasedonthereciprocalrelationshipbetweentheabsoluteVoidofnothingnessthatprecededtheBigBangandthe0-Ddiscretepoint/twistVoidthatemergedfromthatabsoluteVoidastheoriginalsingularity.The0-Ddiscretepoint/twistVoidthusintroducesawaytoexplainhowthe‘some-thingness’ofourperceivedphysical/materialuniverseemergedandevolvedfromthe‘no-thingness’oftheassumedVoidthatexistedbeforetheBigBangwithintheRiemanngeometriccontextofthesinglefieldtheory.

Thehigherembeddingdimensionswouldliterallybewithineverydiscretegeometricalpoint(a0-Dpoint/twistVoidinaphysicalsense)inourthree-dimensionalspaceofexperience.Wheretheonlywaythatitcouldbeunderstoodisifeachandeverydiscretegeometricalpointwasenfoldingintoitself(backintotheVoidfromwhichitemergedphysically)andconsequentlyemergingintothefourthdimensionofspacebeforeunfoldingbackintothe0-Dpoint-twistVoidtoexpandandcreatethethree-dimensionsofnormalspace.However,physicalreality(andlogic)woulddictatethatsucha0-Dpoint/twistcouldonly(ormust)bestablesinceourspace,whichismadeofsuchpoint/twists,doesnot‘collapse’intoitself(byenfolding),butremainsconstant.Thereforethe0-Ddiscretepoint/twistVoidmustbeadynamicalobject–astableobjectwhosestabilitydependsuponadynamicequilibrium–inthatitwouldconstantlyandcontinuouslybeenfoldingintoitself,more-or-lesslikeanobjectspinningthree-dimensionallytowarditscenterpointinthree-dimensionalspace,whileanequalandoppositeunfoldingoutwardoccurredtostabilizeit.Anenfoldingofthistypecouldbeabstractlydescribedasathree-dimensional‘virtualspinning’,or‘twist’,ofathree-dimensionalobjectintoitselfinfour-dimensionalspace.

A0-Ddiscretepoint/twistcanthusbeapproximated,orpictured,asathree-dimensionalobjectinthree-dimensionalspace‘spinning’inward,towarditscenter,insofarasitcanbeimaginedasadimensionlesspoint-centeredsphereinthree-dimensionalspaceof(orapproaching)zeroradius(analogoustotheconceptofΔS→0inRiemannianmetricgeometry).Inotherwords,wecanimaginethepropertyofthissphericalpointbydecreasingtheradius(measureofitsextensionΔsinthethree-dimensionsofspace)tozero(adimensionlesspoint),wherebydoingsogetsridoftheextensioninspacebutnottheenfoldingspinendowingeachdimensionlesspointwitha‘twist’.

A0-Dpoint/twistisasphere-likestructurewhoseradiushasbeenreducedto,orapproaches,itsinfinitesimallimitsofzero(simultaneously)ineachofthesphere’sthreedimensions,yetitsthree-dimensionalspin,ortwist,wouldstillresultinitenfoldingintoitself,creatinga‘virtualtorque,aswellasexpandingbyduplicationofnew0-Dpoint/twists(ineachdirection)intothefourthdimensionofspace.Thesenew0-Dpoint/twistsinbothdirectionsoffour-dimensionalspacewouldformasanequal

The‘absoluteelsewhere’hasneverbeenconsideredviableorevenmeaningfulinmodernrelativityphysics,itisconsideredauselessarchaicconcept.Yet,itstillimpliesthatsomethingcanexistbeyondthepurviewofrelativity(underneathorinthebackgroundofourphysicalspacereality).So,itreallyshouldbeofinterestinfundamentalphysics.

Thefournormallawsofthermodynamicsstillholdtrue(anddonotchange)fortheidealizedsituationofclosedsystems,eventhoughatrulyclosedphysicalsystemisonlyanidealtowardwhichhuman-mademachinesareonlyapproximations.Entropyisstillfavoredoverorderbytheuniverseinthelarge,butonlybecausethevolume,ortotalsize,oftheuniverseisexpanding,whilethenumberofmaterialparticlesremainsroughlyconstant,whichyieldsanetincreaseinrandomnessovertime.Sotheunderlyingorderoftheuniverseimpliedbythepotentialofthepre-consciousnessfieldyieldstheneedfortheadditionofnewthermodynamical‘laws’tobalancethecurrenttheoreticalmodeluponwhichtheexistinglawsdependratherthanreplacementoftheoldlaws.

Overthepastcenturyandahalfofitsexistence,wayshavebeendevelopedtoovercometheshortcomingsofthermodynamics.Prigogine’sPrincipleisalreadyusedquiteextensivelyinconjunctionwiththesecondlawbecauseitclearsupmanyproblemsassociatedwithaclosedsystem,whichissuggestedbythesecondlaw.Ingeneral,Prigogine’sPrinciplestatesthatadissipativeenergysystem,whoseequilibriumdestabilizesthroughalossofenergy,movestowardamaximumchaoticstatebeforefallingintoanothermorestableequilibriumstate.ItissocommonlyusedthatPrigogine’sPrincipleshouldbeelevatedtothestatusofthefourthlawofthermodynamics.

Themathematicalsystemofchaostheoryhasalsobeenusedtosupplementthermodynamicsbecausechaosissimilartoentropy.Sothefifthlawshouldintroducetheconceptsofchaosandtheemergenceofcomplexity.Itcouldbestatedinsuchawaythat,undertheproperenvironmentalconditions(suchasasystem’sinteractionwithexternalnaturalforces),complexitieswouldnaturallyemergetoformneworderlysystems.Thesenewlyemergedcomplexsystemswouldhavecharacteristicsthatcouldnothavebeenpredictedfromthecharacteristicsofthechaotic(entropic)systembeforethecomplexityemerged,onebeingtheprincipleoforganization.Onceformed,complexitiesreorganizethechaoticsystemsfromwhichtheyemergedfortheirownbenefitandcontinuity.

Thesixthlawwouldcombinetheprevioustwolaws–Prigogine’sPrincipleandtheemergenceofcomplexity–yieldingaphysicallawofmaterialsystemevolution.Systemevolutioncanoccurwhenchaotic(entropic)mixesofcomplexemergentsystemsmovetowardhigherandhigherlevelsofcomplexityastimepasses.Inotherwords,systemevolutionisuniversal,open-endedandcontinuousthroughouttheuniverse.Thenextandfinallawofthermodynamics,Murphy’sLawthat‘anythingthatcangowrongwillgowrong’,wouldalwaysbethenextandfinallawbecausesomethingnew,unexpectedandcompletelyunsuspectedcouldalwayspopup.Murphy’sLawcouldalsobedescribedasthe‘lawofunintendedconsequences’inthatitwouldintroducesomeoftheuncertaintyofquantumtheoryintothermodynamics,sinceitisimpossibletoknowabsolutelyeverythingaboutanevent,orsystem,accordingtothequantumtheory.ItalsoseemsagoodbalancefortheZerothlaw(initsvaguegenerality),whiletheothernewlawsbalancethethreeclassicallawsofthermodynamics.Sinceevolutionisoccurringinallthings,everywhereandallthetime,itwouldbemoreaccuratetosay

thatevolution,ratherthanentropy,istime’sarrow.Onlyevolutioniseverybitasubiquitousastimeinouruniverse.Soitcertainlymakesfarmoresensetothinkandperceivetheworldaroundus,andeveninterpretnature,withinthecontextofevolution.

Currently,theacceptedtheoryofevolutioniscompletelybiologicalinnatureandthusverystraightforward,althoughitseemstodependonsomeundefinedand/ornon-specificformof‘force’innaturethatpushes,orfavors,evolutionforward–againstconstancyandanon-changingworld–exceptforsimplemotionasexplainedbyphysics.Itisthoughtthatbiologicalevolutiondependssolelyontheagenciesofnaturalselection(Darwin),geneticmutationandgeneticdrift(moderngeneticevolution),buttheseagenciesalwaysproceedfromthebottomup,fromthegenometotheorganismasawhole.Peoplesensethis‘force’ofevolutionatplayintheworld,butthepresenttheoryofevolutionprovidesnoanswers,orclarification,aboutthecharacteroridentityofthis‘force’.SopeopleinventsuchalternativesasCreationismorIntelligentDesigntofilltheperceivedlogicalgapsinmodernevolutiontheory.However,theseinventionsarenotnecessary.That‘force’whichpeople‘sense’ismerelytheactionofapre-consciousnesspotentialfieldwithinourphysicalworldofexperience.That‘force’acts,orinteracts,withspecificmaterialbodies,tocreateorderintheinanimateworldaswellastop-down(consciousness,tomind,tolife)evolutioninanimatematterthroughtheexigencyoftheemergenceofcomplexities.

However,theprincipleofphysicalevolutionthatemergesfromthenewthermodynamicscannowbeconsideredtosupplementnormalbottom-upevolutionandincludetop-downevolution–fromconsciousnesstomindtothelivingorganism.Thisfactoftop-downevolutionanswersmanyofthedifficultiesfacingtheolderversionsofevolutiontheory.

Innature,animateandinanimateorganismscanonlybedistinguishedbytheirinternallevelsofcomplexity.Bothgroupsfollowthesamebasicphysicalprinciplesandlaws,asdescribedbythephysicaltheoriesthatareinterpretativeexplanationscreatedbythehumanmind.Withinthiscontext,life,mindandconsciousnesscanonlybedefinedinphysicswithinthelargersenseandcontextoftheuniverse.Life,theproverbial‘lifeforce’orbiofieldassomecallit,isthecomplexmatter/energyfieldpatternthatcorrespondstoalivingorganism.Itisessentiallyapatternofquantizedspace-time

curvature.Mindisthecomplexelectricalscalarpotentialfieldpatternoftheorganism,literallythethree-dimensionalcomplexelectricalpatternofthelivingorganismwhichwouldincludeallbio-chemicalinteractions,aswellaspurelyelectricalinteractions,thatmaintainlifeintheorganism.Andfinally,asalreadystated,Consciousnessisthecomplexmagneticvectorpotentialfieldpatternassociatedwiththemindofthelivingorganism.Magneticfieldscommonlydirectelectricalflowinthesamemannerthatconsciousnessdirectsmind.Magneticfieldsalsoformstructurallevelscalleddomainstoformpermanentfieldstructures,whichcompareswellwiththeconceptoflevelsofconsciousness.Electricfieldsdonot.

Withinthiscontext,livingorganismsoriginallyevolvedasDarwinandmoderngeneticbiologistshaveclaimed,internallyfromthebottomup,butwithreservationsbecausecurrentevolutiontheoryisinadequateandincomplete.Theactionofapre-consciousnesspotentialfieldonmatterisnecessarytoexplaintheinitialoriginoflifeinthechemicalsoupfromwhichitemerged.Asanimateorganismsbecamemoreandmorecomplexovertime,bottomupevolution(fromwithin)hasbecomemoreandmoredifficult,whiletop-downevolution(fromwithin)hasslowlycometodominatethemostcomplexorganisms,simplybecausemindandconsciousnessrepresentthewholecontextofalivingbeingandnotjustoneinternalaspectofitsbeing.Theevolutionofphysicalsystems,whichnowsupplementsearliertheoriesofbiologicalevolution,isanaturalpartofourphysicaluniverse,anexpressionofthepre-consciousnesspotentialfield,ratherthanjustabiologicalprocess.SoLifeisnotmatterandenergy,MindisnotelectricityandConsciousnessisnotmagnetism.Life,MindandConsciousnessarethecomplexmulti-leveledfieldpatternsthathaveemergedanddevelopedintoevermorecomplexpatternsoverthecourseofhistory.Oncelivingorganismsemerged,theybegantoreorganizetheirowninternalmatter/energyinteractions(fieldstructures)bymodifyingelectric/chemicalandmagneticinteractionstorunmoreefficiently,thusenhancingfurtherdevelopmentandevolution.

Allmaterialobjectsareconstructedfromthesesamethreephysicalfields–matter/energy,electricandmagnetic–imprintedupononeanother.Thesethreefieldsallact,orreact,inconcertwithoneanothertomaintainlifeornotasspecifiedbyourscientifictheories.Yetlivingorganisms(animatematter)aredifferentfrominanimateornon-livingmatter.Theanimatematteroflivingorganismsisdefinedbyahigh-levelofcomplexitywithinthefieldstructuresthatrenderstheseparticularfieldpatternsinlivingorganismsdifferentfromtheirinanimatematerialcounterparts.Allofthesepatternsmustworktogethertocreatealivingorganism,whichmeansthatalllivingorganismshavethesamecomplexmixofpatterns.Butdifferentlivingorganismshaveevolvedbothhigherlevelpatterns(parameciaversushumans)anddifferenttypesofcomplexities(plantsversusanimals)thanothers.Inotherwords,alllifeisconscioustoonedegreeoranother,butonlyinmorehighlyevolvedorganismshasawarenessofconsciousnessemergedasachaoticcomplexityofmemorieswithinmind.

Withinthismuchgreateruniversalcontext,thebrain/mindstoresmemorieswhosemulti-leveledhierarchyofcomplexpatternsformindividualconsciousness,oratleastconformtothecontextalreadypresentinconsciousness(alreadyprogrammedintoinheritedneuralnetpatterns)aspreordainedbytheinfluenceofthepre-consciousnessfieldthatactsthroughevery0-Dpoint/twistin

space.Asthenewmulti-leveled(domainstructuresof)complexmagneticvectorpotentialpatternsstoredinmindchange,thecontextestablishedbyexistingconsciousnessforperceivingandinterpretingnewdatainputfromtheexternalphysicalworld(throughthefivesenses)alsochanges.Butwhenchangesinthecomplexitypatternsaregreatenough(possiblyduringspiritualenlightenmentorNDEs)theydirectlyaffectgenomes.Ifintenseenough(theyareimportantforpreservationandenhancementofthespecies),theyarepassedontooffspringandbecomepartoftheoverallgeneticpoolofthespecies.

Themostcomplexmemoriesthatweeasilyrecallandrememberarestoredandrecalledbythatpartofthemindthatcorrelatestothebrain,becauseonlythebrainhasthedensityofneuronsandcomplexityofneuralnetsthathavetheabilitytorenderstorageandallowforrecall.Thisiswhywemistakenlybelieveourmindandconsciousnessexistinthebrainalone.Ourmemoriesarebothstoredandrecalledthroughtheinteractionsbetweenandamongmicrotubules(nano-sizedbio-magneticinductioncoils)andtheelectromagneticinterferencepatternstheycreateinthesurroundingwatermedium.Theseinterferencepatternsquantizethenuclearmagneticspinsofthewatermoleculesinspecificpatternstomatchincomingsensationsfromtheexternalworld,imprintingthosememoriesasvariousmagneticvectorpotentialpatternsona0-Dpoint-to-pointbasiswithinthesinglefield.

Recentdevelopmentsinneuroscienceindicatethattheneuralnetpatternsinthebrainrewritethemselves(analterationcalledbrainplasticity)accordingtonewlearningandexperiences.Thesenewerandmorecomplicatedcomplexitiesslowly,butsometimesradically,alterthecontextoftheoverallconsciousnesspattern.Sincehumanknowledgeisincreasingsorapidly,farmorerapidlythaneverbefore,andweareexperiencingnewphenomena(agreaterbreadthandvarietyofphenomena)ateverincreasingratesduetotechnologicalandscientificadvances,the(basic)complexitystructureofhumanconsciousness(thatweallinherit)iscurrentlyunderagreatdealofstress.Addtothisthepresent-daysocial,cultural,politicalandeconomicstressthatweareforcedtomentallydealwith,thehumanspeciesisforgingapathwherebytheoverallnatureofourpre-consciousnesspotentialfieldanditsproclivityforadvancingtheconsciousnessoftheuniverseasawholewillsooninitiateanewevolutionaryleapforthehumanspeciesthatovercomes,orratherintegrates,thesementalstresses,givingusgreateraccessto,andknowledgeof,thesinglefieldandthehigherdimensionofspacewherethesinglefieldexistsinitspureform.

Suchaconsciousnessspaceneednot(specifically)beasixthembeddingdimensionforafive-dimensionalspace-timecontinuum(asdescribedinnormalRiemannianmetric/extensiongeometry)whenjustasixthtangent,orperpendicularmanifold,thatmanifestsphysicalrealitywouldsuffice.Itcouldactthrougheachandeveryoneoftheindividualdiscretepoints,throughouttheembeddeddimensionsofphysicalspacewithinit,withoutbeingafullembeddingmetricspacethatneededtobemathematicallyidentifiedandphysicallyjustified.

GivenBeichler’scompletesinglefieldstructureofindividualConsciousnesses,Andrews’theoreticalmodelsfitquitewell.Andrews’modelisanearperfectRiemannianmatchforBeichler’smodel,whileconsciousnessmodelsthatpositotherformsofconsciousnessspaces,includingFaggin’smodel,couldalsobeassimilatedintotheBeichler-Andrewsmodel.Beichler’ssinglefieldisbaseduponafour-dimensionalRiemanniangeometry,asisgeneralrelativity,butwithextrinsicandthusrealcurvature(ofathree-dimensional‘sheet’or‘effectivewidth’ofinfinitesimallythinthree-dimensionalsurfaces)bentorwarpedintothefourthembeddingdimensionofspace.Boththefourthdimensionofspaceandcurvaturearephysicallyreal,eventhoughwedonotnormallyobserveordetectthem.So,theyarenotjustmathematicalgimmicksorartifactsthathappentodescribegravityfieldsinthree-dimensionalspacebetterthanNewton’stheory.

otherwisebecomeconsciouslyawareofahigher-levelconsciousness,ifnotConsciousnessitself(thehigher-dimensionalembeddingspaceormanifold),mayreadilyrecognizethistheoreticalphysicalmodel,butdescribehisorherexperienceinacompletelydifferentmanner.Forexample,manyNearDeathExperiencershavesaidthattheycannotfindthewordsorlanguagetodescribetheirexperience,orwhattheysensedabouttheirlocation,becausethegeometrythattheysensed(experienced)isdifferentfromthegeometryofourthree-dimensionalmaterialworld.Thatisprimarilywhysciencehasonlybeenabletoaccessthehigher-dimensionalworldmathematicallyandfindsitnecessarytospeculate,tosomeextent,onitsphysicalnature.

Themajorityofthosewhohaveattainedsomelevelofspiritualawakening,whetherspontaneous,duetosome(usuallytragic)event,and/orthroughdeepmeditationandreligiouspractices,alsofinditdifficult(ifnotimpossible)thoughcompelledbynecessity,todescribetheirfeelingsabouttheexperiencebecausetheterminologydoesnotexistwithinournormallanguagestructuresorcommunicativeskills.Theconceptsneededtodescribeahigherdimensionalrealitydonotfitthelogical(neuralnet)structureofthebrain.Thismakesattaininghigherlevelsofconsciousnessboth

difficultandrare,asitisconsiderednormaltoonlyalignwiththree-dimensionalexperiencesandinteractionswithinacommonly-sensedphysicalrealityinanexternalmaterialworld.SothepersonwhohasexperiencedanNDE,thatisstrongenoughtobreakintoconsciousawarenessafterwards,willabsorbtheexperiencementallybyinternallyrewiringsomebasicneuralnetsinamannerthatchangesthepersonalityoftheNDexperiencer,sometimesquiteradically,asseemstohavehappenedforAndrews.SomeotherswhointentionallychoosetoawakencannotdosountiltheirwiringissufficientlyenhancedtoallowfortheirawarenesstorecognizeConsciousness.

WiththepossibilitythatConsciousnessactsthroughtheindividualdiscretequantumpoints(Andrews’0-Dpoints)toco-createourthree-dimensionalexperienceofspace,anewinterpretationandrelationshipbetweenquantumtheoryandrelativityisathand.Singlefieldtheoryhasalreadyaccomplishedthisunification,yetithasnotdirectlytakenConsciousnessintoaccountasuniversal,althoughitisimplied.Theextendedmetricspaceofmatter,inwhichweexist,correspondstothesuperpositionofallpossibleΨ-waves(wavefunctions)priortoconsciousnesscollapsinganindividualwavefunctiontocreatetheapparentcertaintyofdiscrete(0-D)quantumpoints.ThissuperpositionofallpossiblewavesisreminiscentofBohm’sconceptofaquantumpotentialfield.HenryStapphasalsostatedthatheisleaningtowardsuchaphilosophicalconclusion(privateconversationin2008).Thisnotionwouldalsoincludethebackground‘absoluteelsewhere’asdescribedabove.

Inthecaseofanexperiencer,ratherthanthatofascientist,thistheorycanbeseenandinterpretedinthemind’seyeabitdifferently.InthewordsofoneofAndrews’co-authors,StevenSalka,“aneffectivewaytoviewconsciousnesswouldbeasa‘superposition’ofexistenceandnonexistence,producinganindivisibleexperienceof‘nonlocalbeing’,pluswhoandwhatweperceiveourselvestobe(localobservers).”Thisrelationshipbetweenanobserver-basedlocalizationandthenonlocalwholehasbeenexaminedandexpressedinAndrews’theoreticalmodel.Usingideasfromgeneralrelativityandquantummechanics,hesuggestshowaspace-timecontinuumcanalsoincludequantummechanicalpotentialsandprobabilities,arisingascomplementarities,aspropertiesofconsciousness.Heinvestigatesopportunitiestocontemplatetheoriginsofexistence,offeringfalsifiableexperiments.

HistheoreticalmodelsupportstheprogressivelyevolvingobservationalmeasurementprocessesoutlinedinDavidBohm’smodelofSoma-Significance,todrivetheemergenceandevolutionofallforms,tore-unite(activelyandpassively)–insearchofequilibrium,inacollectively-sensedover-archingConsciousness.Underthesecircumstances,anobservingconsciousnesswouldexperienceits‘self/Self/no-Self’throughbeingasixth-dimensionalwitnessingawarenessthatformsthefifth-dimensionalqualiaofexperience:asfeelings,thoughts,memories,urges,instincts,intuitions,andsensations,includinglove,fear,admiration,hateandcompassion,throughthethreeandfour-dimensionalbody/mindofFaggin’sphysicalP-space,Beichler’ssinglefieldtheory,andAndrews’ubiquitous0-Dpoint.

ConclusionBothBeichlerandAndrewshavecometotheconclusionthatthephysicsofconsciousness,as

proposedhere,predictstheongoingemergenceofacommonly-sensedspecies-wideintelligence.Andrewsalsosuggestshowalldimensionalstructuresappeartobecontinuouslycalibratedbytheir(unchanging)point-centered(0-D)context.Asif‘this’werenotoccurring,eachobservationalmeasurementsystemwouldnotfunctioninterdependentlytosustainthelawsofprobability.Anabsoluteabsence(timelessly)ensuresthe‘existence’ofeverypoint-centeredprocessthroughoutallphysicalandnon-physicalphenomena.Thisispivotaltotheself/Selfperfectingnatureofsentientlife,includingtherefinementofanover-archinguniversalintelligence.Insteadofcreationbeingdeterminedbya‘supremely’creativeobserver,allobserver-drivencreationswouldbecoordinatedandsustainedbythatwhichisimmeasurableanduncreated—whichaccordswithinsightshandeddownbycertainsectsofHinduandTibetanwisdomtraditions.

TheRinpochehasbeenrecognized,whileachild,byH.H.thesixteenthGyalwaKarmapaandothereminentTibetanlamasasjointlythereincarnationofthegreatDzogchenmasterAdzamDrugpaandPemaKarpo,thegreatmasterandspiritualrulerofBhutan,aranksimilartothatwhichtheDalaiLamasholdinTibet.Itwouldseemfromthisquotationthathehascometoaverysimilar,ifnotthesame,conclusionregardingtheimportanceoftheVoid.

Beichlerexpresseshisnotionofevolutioninadifferentcontextbyexpandingthelawsofthermodynamicstoincludenotonlydisorderandentropy,butemergence(formation)andorder.BothPrigogine’sprincipleandchaostheory(theemergenceofcomplexitiesfromchaos)arecommonlyusedasacounterpointandcorrectiontothesecondlawofthermodynamicsbecausethesecondlawisbasedonthermodynamicallyclosedsystems,eventhoughsuchclosedsystemsappearnowhereinnature.Therefore,Prigogine’sprincipleandtheconceptofcomplexitiesemergingfromchaosshouldbemadethefourthandfifthlawsofthermodynamics,respectively.Whentheyareputtogether,theyimplyasixthlawofthermodynamicswhichcouldbedescribedasthenaturalevolutionofevermorecomplexphysicalsystems.Underthesecircumstances,biologicalevolutioncanbeseenasaspecialcaseaswellasauniversalnecessitywithinphysicalscience,ratherthanastandalonephilosophicallyriddenanomalyinbiology.Fromthisviewpoint,evolutionratherthanentropyisthereal‘arrowoftime’.

Moreover,theevolutionoflifeingeneralandthecontinuingprogressiveevolutionofmindandconsciousnessinalllivingorganismsafterlifefirstevolvedfromsomeundefinedprimordialsoup–whateverthatinitialevolutionarymechanismmayultimatelyprovetobe–hasbecometheprimarypurposeoftheuniverse.WeHomosapiensarepartofthegreateruniverserealizingandbecoming

awareofitself,whichfitsinquitewellwiththesinglefieldtheoryandhisandAndrews’modelofConsciousnessevolvingfromaspaceless-timelessVoid.

Ontheotherhand,thesinglefieldmodelofaneuralnetandbrainplasticityimpliesthatmindandconsciousnesscandriveevolution(topdown),asopposedtothemodernDarwinianandgeneticmodelswhichpointstoabottom-updriven(evolution)mechanism,byactingthroughgeneticmutationandgeneticdrift.Thenotionthatevolutioncanbeconsciousnessdriven(fromthetop-down)furtherimplies–giventhesocial,economic,cultural,technological,educationalandscientificconditionsofachaoticandrapidlyexpandinginformation/knowledgebase–thatthehumanraceisnearing(ifithasnotalreadyreached)atippingpointforavastevolutionaryleapthatwillresultintheemergenceofanewhumansubspeciesatamuchhigherlevelofconsciousnessthannowexists.ThisnewlevelofhumanConsciousnesswillallowhumanstoactuallythinkinterms(anddirectlyexperiencetheeffects)ofafour-dimensionalspace.ThisnewsubspeciesoftheHomogenusmayevenemergefullyenlightenedatbirth,orsowecanhope.AlargeandgrowingnumberofscientistsalreadybelievethatanewscientificrevolutionwillbeasmuchabouttheMindandConsciousness(thatperceiveandinterpretourcommonmaterial/physicalreality)asitisaboutthephysicswewilldeveloptobetterdescribenature.Still,fewevensuspectthatthenextscientificrevolutionwillbepartofafarmorecomprehensivehuman-wideevolutionaryleapinconsciousness.
