Le Pavilion de la Finlande à l'exposition universelle de 1900 à Paris, a short film made by researchers and students from the Department of Media, takes the viewer on a journey through time to the Finnish pavilion at the Paris World Fair in 1900. The film was shown at the Musée d'Orsay in Paris.

Aalto Artist in Residence

Aalto University's first artist in residence, multimedia artist Marita Liulia's film Jumalattaren paluu (Return of the Goddess) premiered at Savoy Theatre during the Helsinki Festival 2012. The new artist in residence Chilean artist Ariel Bustamante is known for works that break down traditional notions of sound art. In his projects and research, Bustamante concentrates on finding strategies to understand physical and cognitive aspects of sound.  Bustamante’s residency will be from 2014 until 2015.
