Introducing...

Covenant Counseling Center of South Carolina

Our Mission...

Covenant Counseling Center of South Carolina was established in 1990 as a faith- based, not-for-profit community agency with a mission of providing high quality, comprehensive, and affordable professional Christian mental health services to our community...

Accomplishing the Mission...

By supporting pastors, churches, and businesses throughout the Lowcountry with a viable alternative to secular mental health services without compromising quality.

By enabling pastors and human resources directors to confidently refer cases which they feel unable to deal with effectively.

Accomplishing the mission...

By ensuring that affordable faith-based mental health services are available to all residents of our service areas.

By employing only the most highly skilled clinicians who have made a commitment to the integration of Christian principles and faith into their therapy model.

Our Vision...

It is our vision that professional faith-based mental health services should be available to all who desire them.

Inability to afford mental health services should NOT be a reason for denial of needed services! Our Mission Assistance Program provides funding for qualifying clients as long as funds are available.

Who we serve...

Our counselors provide services to individuals, couples, and families without regard to race or religious preference.

In fact, some clients have no religious preference, choosing counseling with us because they trust our commitment and they respect the competence of our staff.

Our Staff...

Jay White is a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern and our Marketing Coordinator…He provides services in our Walterboro, Holly Hill, and Goose Creek centers. Find out more about Jay at www.charlestontherapy.com.

Our staff...

Barbara Weaver is our office manager and appointments liaison. She works out of our main office in Summerville.

Susan Harris processes our insurance documents and serves as our liaison with the managed care service provider network.

Our Board of Directors...

Covenant Counseling has a Board of Directors who volunteer their time and talents because they believe in this ministry.

They have witnessed first-hand how lives have been changed through the services provided by our counseling centers.

If you have questions, we will gladly provide contact information for our Board of Directors.

Is there really a need?

You bet! Pastors, chaplains, and human resources personnel are frequently overwhelmed with counseling requests.

Many problems go far beyond spiritual issues, requiring the help of a skilled mental health professional.

Where can they turn for help?

It’s a matter of trust... Pastors and HR Directors want to be

assured, when entrusting the care of a member of their congregation or company to another professional, that they can feel good about the services received.

They can be confident that excellent care is being combined with a strong commitment to a Christian world view.

Most people, when surveyed, preferred a counselor who would be comfortable incorporating the client’s faith into therapy

Where’s the need?

Anyone who works as a helping professional knows that demand for counseling services is dramatically increasing every year.

Why is this?

Sobering Facts...

1 out of 2 marriages will end in divorce. Over 1 million children suffer from

violence every year. 16% of couples experience domestic

violence every year. 2 million women and children are injured

due to physical abuse annually.

Depression and Anxiety...

Depression affects 15% of all Americans.

Anxiety affects 12.6% of the population.

Suicide...

The suicide rate has DOUBLED in the past forty years.

7 women per 100,000 commit suicide.

32 men per 100,000 commit suicide.

And the list goes on...

Covenant can help with:– Marital counseling– Addictions counseling– Faith and spiritual problems– Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)– Anger Management counseling– Work and School Difficulties– Coping with crisis, trauma, and grief– Family counseling

We need your help!

We know a high-quality professional faith-based counseling service can help members of your congregation or work force who have special needs.

But…it takes money.

What about fees?

Because CCCSC is committed to providing services to ALL clients, regardless of income, some of our clients depend on our Mission Assistance Program to supplement their payment.

To supplement fees, we need individuals, churches, businesses, and organizations like yours to partner with us - enabling these valuable services to be provided.

Partners in Ministry...

Many churches throughout the tri-county area, make CCCSC part of their annual budget.

Regular monthly or annual contributions provide stability for this much-needed ministry.

Some businesses refer employees using their EAP.

Bottom line...

Covenant Counseling Center of South Carolina is worthy and deserving of your support!

What may you expect in return?

First and foremost, our commitment to providing only professional mental health services that are consistent with Scripture and grounded in the Christian faith.

A service that respects the faith journey of each client.

A reliable place to send people in need; a place worthy of your confidence.

What you may expect in return?

Access to mental health professionals willing to answer your questions about how to deal with tough counseling cases.

A professional clinical staff willing to make presentations to your church, business, or group on mental health issues.

Is the need critical?

Yes! CCCSC has been providing faith-based mental health services to the low country since 1991.

However…without the support of local churches, businesses, and organizations, our future is uncertain. Help us continue providing this vital service!

Thank You!

This service could not continue to operate without the prayers, referrals, and financial support of churches and businesses like yours.
