Noel Gray – has worked as a volunteer for several years in an Old Peoples Home every Saturday and receives pocketmoney for his services. He also works one day a week in a charity shop at “Scene on the Green” and on Wednesdays and Thursdays andFridays he runs and works in the College shop, “The Orange Jug’. Healso takes turns to do the college Trolley dash. He will be attending a two week external work experience at Wyvale GardenCentre in Osterley.

Mina Gajari – works in a Fish and Chip shop 2 evening a week and gets paid for it. She also works one day a week in a charity shop at “Scene on the Green” and on Wednesdays, Thursdays

and Fridays she runs and works in the College shop, “The Orange Jug’.She takes turns to do the college Trolley dash, which is part of her college course. She will be attending her two weeks external work

experience placement at Primark in Hounslow.

Geeta Vara – at present she works one day a week in a charity shop at “Scene on the Green” and on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays

she runs and works in the College shop," The Orange Jug’ and also takes turns to do the college Trolley dash, which is part of her college course. She is about to start her two week external work experience placement

at Peacocks clothing outlet in Feltham.

Huda Mohamed – about to start her external work placement in a local Hairdressers for two weeks. She also works one day a week in

a charity shop at “Scene on the Green” and on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays she runs and works in the College shop

‘The Orange Jug’ and also takes turns to do the college Trolley dash.

Sandra Briers – Sandra has worked as a volunteer for several months now in a Church tea room in Hounslow, making teas, washing up,general cleaning and tidying and also serving customers. Sandra will be attending a two weeks external work placement at Vision

Express in Hounslow.

Benjamin Mohsen – has done 3 months voluntary work on Saturdays and Sundays at Ten Pin Bowling in Feltham and is

about to go on his external work experience placement at Primark in Hounslow.

hours/unsocial hours of duty.

2. To liaise with teaching staff and identify transferable skills relevant to the student’s place of work.

3. To discuss with teachers any observations about identified student’s modes of learning which could assist in lesson planning and delivery.

4. To be flexible to the needs of individual students to allow them to gain and sustain paid employment

5. To assist students and participate in collating information for their ‘Discovery plans’.

6. To assist students to produce their CV’s including multi-media CV’s.

7. To undertake the role of the student in the employment sector (including training) to find out the culture of the post prior to the student commencing employment.

8. To enable students to undertake their new role as employees and fit in to the general workforce

9. To attend planning meetings to ensure that appropriate employment opportunities are targeted

10. To assist students in attending work punctually which may include travel training.

11. To assist with personal safety plans/risk assessments.

12. To act as the liaison between students and their new employers until the student is confident in their new employment role.

13. To accompany students to work placements, giving guidance, direction and reinforcement of their duties as advised by the employer.
