International Photographic Salon Varna is the most important photographic event in Bulgaria, honored with 4-star rating by FIAP. The initiative began in 2003 in Varna as a forum for Bulgarian photographic art amateurs and professionals, in 2007 Photographic Salon Varna became an international event since photographers from around the world started joining the annual contests. Last year the salon gathered over 500 participants from 54 countries, who sent more than 4,000 pieces of photographic art for the 2012 contest! International Photographic Salon Varna is not a themed contest, participants could apply with a photograph of their own choice, without being constrained by predetermined topic.
