Integrating BI Publisher with Enterprise Manager Date: 24/10/2012 Author: Rob Zoeteweij http://oemgc.wordpress.com As part of Enterprise Manager 12c a complete set of default Reports deployed in BI Publisher is available after integrating BI Publisher with Enterprise Manager. The paper describes the installation and integration of BI Publisher 11.1.1.6.0 with Enterprise Manager 12.1.0.2 and it is really as easy as 1,2,3… After downloading the proper files from OTN and making a backup of your OMS environment, you can start with the installation of BI Publisher and integration with EM. In this paper I assume the presence of a em12c 12.1.0.2 fresh installed environment. Refer to the Oracle Enterprise Manager Advanced Installation and Configuration Guide in all other situations. Press [Finish] When starting the integration of bi Publisher with Oracle Enterprise Manager we will change the domain configuration. Therefor we will first make a backup of the current domain configuration: [oracle@em12c domains]$ pwd /u01/app/oracle/product/Middleware/gc_inst/user_projects/domains [oracle@em12c domains]$ zip -r GCDomain.zip GCDomain Next you should run: <OMS Home>/bin/configureBIP The script will ask you for a SYSDBA user and password and for the passwords for the Admin Server User and Node Manager.
/u01/app/oracle/product/Middleware/oms/bin [oracle@em12c bin]$ ./configureBIP Configuring BI Publisher Version "11.1.1.6.0" to work with Enterprise Manager Logging started at /u01/app/oracle/product/Middleware/oms/cfgtoollogs/bip/bipca_20121024151450.log. It it strongly recommended to backup the domain before configuring BI Publisher.
