• Enough unloading area is to be provided near the lifts. The unloading area is to be strengthened.
• If the lift is used for the material movement, then the stair has to be placed close to the lift for personal movement.

• For moving the material up and down, we may also use material handling equipments (stacker, fork lifts etc) in addition to the lifts.

• In the case of lifts, a separate door is not required in the racking as the lifts come with fixed doors in each level. Where as in the case of MHEs, separate sliding door has to be provided.
