A pervasive flexibility towards institutional governance has become the norm of the day, especially for a socially sensitive B-school of the stature of SMS Varanasi, which is destined to encounter a formidable compulsion in not only sustaining the professional impeccability, but to regularly seek to burnish its scholastic image within the relevant global arena. Let us congratulate SMS Varanasi for making a quantum jump on the overall quality pitch of management education in the country, and thus grabbing once more A++ rank to secure a prestigious positioning within the bracket of top-most three B-schools of UP (barring NCR).
The month of July has of course got its own genre of significance in the life-cycle of a B-school, when we get an enamoured opportunity to welcome a fresh lot of new faces. It certainly provides a generic experience to see them romping around in the arrogantly beautiful campus of SMS-empire, ready to imbibe a seasoned delivery of our globally acclaimed curricular contents that reflect a cent-per-cent compliance on the academic canon set recently by the global management education system.
SMS-newsletter with its unique creative licence has certainly attained a blazing success in grabbing your esteemed readership. Generating a propensity to consume among you discerning readers speaks of an acknowledgment of its information pertinence and sufficiency. The current issue is once again brimmed with interesting glimpses of a number of proud moments such as, Orientation programmes for the new entrants in our PGDMs, MCA, and Undergraduate Courses to the Freshers' Parties, Teachers' Day
thcelebrations, 15 August National Festival celebrations, International Industrial Visits, Blood & Eye-thdonation Awareness Camps, SMART 2012, Hi – Life Lecture Series, the 18 Foundation Day Celebrations
of SMS, Robust beginning of an unbelievable track of campus placements once again, and so many other value-adding events.
Understanding its hortatory obligations towards an effective & timely dissemination of the various newly emerged academic areas, the SMS-system has always shown a putative singularity in accommodating the relevant contents within the PGDMs' curricula without any delay. I am sure the days are not very far when SMS will be more proximal to the apotheosis of excellence in the intellectual endeavour.
I close with best of wishes in the New Year – 2013.
