InGRID (Indonesia Grid)• InGRID is trigger by Inherent (Indonesia Higher Education Research Network)
• Inherent is the first NREN (National Research and Education Network) in Indonesia
• Inherent connected almost 150 Universities in Indonesia
• One of the objectives of Inherent is to build the grid facilities in Indonesia
• The network connection to other NREN still low (45 Mbps) via TEIN2/3 network

• Grid computing in Indonesia is still new beginning
• Start with several universities and start with less than 50 computers
• Using Inherent – 155 mbps Java Area– 8 Mbps other areas– TEIN2 backbone (45 Mbps)

• Add new collection of application• Build the capacity for the communities (Human Resources for the grid computing)
• Mengembangkan lingkungan pemrograman komputasi paralel/terdistribusi (Workflow, Ninf, dst.)
• Develop and build the portals for grid computing based on the need (“ChemGrid”, “BioGrid”, dst.)
