AsanextensionofOTN’sEthernetcapabilities,theETS-3GC7FindustrialEthernetSwitchallowstopick-upEthernetbasedapplicationsfromdifferentlocationsandcarrythembacktotheOTNbackboneinacostefficientway.Point-to-point,daisychain,starorringaccessnetworkdesignsaresupported.

DescriptionTheETS-3GC7FisamanagedIndustrialEthernetSwitch,whichprovides7x10/100TXportsand3x10/100/1000RJ-45/SFPComboports.

ThankstoitsGigabitComboportdesign,theETS-3GC7FisaveryflexibleswitchthatcanuseSingleModeandMultiModefiberopticcableorcoppercabling.

Typically2GigabitSFPportsareusedtoformaRedundantGigabitEthernet

Ring.The3rdGigabitEthernetportcanbeusedforuserapplicationsortoconnecttheGigabitEthernetRingtotheOTNGigabitEthernetinterface(e.g.ET100DAE,ETXorN50/N70).ItisalsopossibletoclosetheRedundantGigabitEthernetRingovertheOTNbackbone,toprovidearedundantuplink.

TheembeddedsoftwaresupportsfullLayer2features,GigabitEthernetRingredundancy,networkcontrol,monitoring,notificationandsecurity.TheETS-3GC7Falsoprovidesadigitalinputandrelayoutputforlocalalarmnotification.

MechanicalDesignTheETS-3GC7Fhasacompactdesign(137mmx96mmx119mm(HxWxD))andprovidesacorrosionresistantaluminumextrusionhousingwhichcomplieswithIP31.TheswitchcanbemountedonaDIN-Railorcanbewallmount.ThefanlessdesignoftheETS-3GC7Fswitchallowsittooperateinawidetemperaturerangefrom-25°Cto70°C(-13°Fto158°F).TheextendedtemperaturerangeversionETS-3GC7F-Xhasatemperaturerangeof-40°Cto74°C(-40°Fto165°F)andcomplieswithNEMATS2specifications.
