1. FEEL: the thing that troubles you most…….

• Poverty: Education is not possible for the under privileged, hence they are less aware about daily affairs.

• Sexist: In villages gender discrimination takes place because of orthodox physiology .

• Natural calamities: Relief measures need to be amended

• Unemployment: Because of illiteracy and laziness people do not get jobs so easily.

• Lack of civic sense.• Exploitation of the media: Raises unnecessary

topics and exaggerates them, causing chaos and riots among people

2. imagine

• All of us brainstormed about what we can achieve in a week and set targets for ourselves. We organized a meeting with our environmental club, school principal and teachers. Since the latest disaster was the Leh cloud burst, we thought of ways to help and give funds for their relief.

• We also thought of going and visiting an orphanage/old age home for a day, just to bring a smile on their face, by performing a skit for them and donating food and stationary items to the children and senior citizens.

• We wanted to first raise funds for the calamity and to do so, we thought of conducting a few fund raisers such as:

1.Bake sale

2.Tile making and mirror making by the students (Sold on the PTM)

3. A fun filled musical evening (Passes sold for raising funds)

When the going gets tough the tough gets going! (3. Do)

• It was difficult but we finally organized many fund raisers in our school, like –

• Day 1-2 : Bake sale by the students of classes VI to VIII.

• Day 3: Children of class 6 visited an old age home and an orphanage to perform a skit on Ganesh Chaturthi, as well as donated stationary items and food to all children of the orphanage.

• Day 1-5: Tile making and mirror making by the students, to be sold on the PTM, to raise funds for the rebuilding of schools in Leh.

• Day 5: A concert named “Shri Sangeet” was organized to raise funds for the Leh relief. It was a grand success and a fun filled musical evening.

We finally made it…..

• We collected more than Rs. 30,000 during the bake sale!!

• We collected more than Rs.37,000 during the Shri Sangeet!!

• We brought a smile to the faces of the children in the orphanage and the senior citizens in the old age home.

• We raised a lot of funds selling the tiles and mirrors during the PTM.
