A System is a whole, consisting of parts, each of which can affect its behaviour or its properties.
System:
A System is a whole, consisting of parts, each of which can affect its properties or its behaviour. Each of those parts is dependent on other parts to affect those properties or behaviours.
System:
A context in which cause and effect can only be perceived in retrospect, not in advance.
Complexity:
A System that is unpredictable, at least in practice, because of the type of interactions between parts or the sheer number of them.
Complex System:
Opposite of fragile. Something that benefits from shocks such as volatility, randomness, disorder and stressors. Beyond robust and resilient.
