n a business school, the placement activity is a regular feature
during the fag end of the graduating class. Each year, we seek the I industries patronage in recruitment of our students. We
understand that during the past few years, the global economic melt
down has dented the recruitment and expansion programs of
business around the globe. We have with foresight included the
management perspective of skills and knowledge to manage industry
during turbulent times. Our students have developed the resilience of
the turbulent economy and taken that as a challenge in performance
of their jobs.
IBMR-International Business School develops graduates with
theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The students' exhibit highly
developed analytical and communication skills, demonstrate mastery
in management tools and techniques, and are prepared to engage in
ethical leadership in their chosen career fields.
In pursuing the mission of IBMR-IBS, the Management Program is
designed to be a formative process that infuses knowledge on a wide
range of management subjects, advanced decision making skills, and
develop the capacity to be informed, effective and be global
managers.
The MBA programs which the students take up are from an university,
the curriculum and syllabi are developed on mass basis. In order to
bolster the challenges faced in the present industry, IBMR-IBS has
developed PGPM program with industry related courses like advanced
decision making skills, managing change and many more general
management topics to make them highly effective.
In developing the students, special care has been taken to bring them
to a common platform with many core courses, spoken and written
language skills, and reading habits. The academic rigor emphasizes
the need to be relevant, create value and develop into a professional.
Co-curricular activities make them well rounded and the soft skill
training makes them sensitive to the environment.
We sincerely hope that the students we present for placement meet
the requirements of the industry on the one hand and also meet with
the students career plans, thus making the exercise mutually
beneficial.
CHAIRMAN’S THOUGHTS
Our students have developed the resilience
of the turbulent economy and taken that as
a challenge in performance of their jobs
Shri Vinaychandra M Mahendrakar
oday as students stand at the threshold of becoming future
managers, it is absolutely essential that we ponder and reflect T over business ethics. The concept of business ethics has come
to mean various things to various people, but generally it's coming
to know what is right or wrong in the workplace and doing what's
right -- this is in regard to effects of products/services and in
relationships with stakeholders.
We at IBMR have deliberated and found it essential that students
not only learn the theory of ethics, but also inculcate the ethical
aspects in all their endeavors. The students along with their
curriculum have to mandatorily study Business Ethics as a
standalone course and include ethical aspects in all functional areas
like Marketing, Finance, and Human Resource Management.
Students of IBMR have been developed as useful resource, with a
strong and rigorous pedagogy, practical case studies, seminars by
industry experts and industrial visits. A few of the students also visit
industries internationally and spend some time on internship. These
students are ready to work in India and will be able to understand
the cross cultural issues with the international exposure.
The students of IBMR are exposed to training in soft skills and are
encouraged to participate in inter - B School competitions, and also
in cultural activities and competition. We offer students who have
the edge, and are ready to fit into corporate positions. We seek your
patronage and hope this will bond our relationship to achieve
mutually beneficial goals.

flexibility which is the
need of the hour
he constant process any industry faces is change. In this
rapidly changing world of business and trade, professional Tmanagers need to be in tune with this trend and also be
able to adapt to the changes of the future. Towards this we
educate our students and train them to be relevant to the industry
needs and demands.
IBMR-IBS through the Post Graduate Program in Management has
the rigor and flexibility which is the need of the hour. Our students
are allowed to persue a twin degree - MBA and PGPM, in the two
year course of study. The pedagogy includes lectures, assignments,
case study, embellished with practical study tours to domestic and
international industries, invited guest faculty, theme seminars and
also internship and dissertations. The academic rigor is supported
through simulated games, role play and quizzes. The soft skill
training is included as a part of the curriculum with a view to
making our students true professionals.
The faculty both regular and adjunct has their task cut out, and
truly plays a part in the transformation of the students. The
accomplished faculty and the invited guest speakers in tandem
enhance the thinking, analytical, and decision making skills.
We believe that the students are capable and are ready for careers
in the industry . During their stint as students we have observed
and also supported their transformation into a global management
professional. The students are ready for a career, and we invite
recruiters to select from valuable human resources, especially
suited to perform tasks wanting an integrated view of
Management.
We wish that the participating recruiters also evince interest in the
individual professionals, and enable them to launch into careers of
