Ilya Ilyich Mechnikov1845-1916

He was born on May 15th 1845 in

Kharkov province . He

was very clever.

When he was eleven, he went

to a grammar school. It was in 1856. When he was fourteen,

he could speak German.

Ilia Iluich went to the Kharkov University in

1862.

In 1882 Ilya Ilyich Mechnikov opened phagocytosis.

In 1888 Mechnikov went to France.

In 1908 he with P. Ehrlich got the Nobel Prize.

He got the prize of K.Ber 3 times.
