How Long Wilt Thou Forget Me, Lord

Verse 1

How long wilt Thouforget me Lord?

Shall it forever be?

Eternal Godhow long wilt Thou

still hide Thy face from me?

How long take counsel in my soul, and sorrow

day by day;

How long exalted over meshall be mine enemy?

Verse 2

O Lord my God,consider Thou,

an answer give to me;

Lest I should sleepthe sleep of death,

mine eyes enlighten Lord;

And lest mine enemy should say,

“Against him I prevailed.”

And those who troubled me rejoice when I am

shaken , Lord.

Last Verse

But as for me,I put my trust

in Thy great mercy God!

And I shall singunto the Lord

and praise His holy name;

I will rejoice with my whole heart; in His

salvation trust,

And I will singunto my God

for His great love to me.
