Trial Innovation Network Key ElementRecruitment

What the Research Says….

• 1% of US population participates in health studies

• nearly 1 in 5 trials either terminated for failed accrual, or completed with <85% of the expected enrollment.

• Less than 10% of clinical studies are completed on time

• Reports of clinical trials consistently state that initial approaches to recruitment are rarely successful, take longer than planned and the pool of participants is overestimated.

Vision and PurposeOur goal is to positively impact human health by improving participant enrollment and retention in multi-center clinical trials.

Achieving this goal will require sophisticated informatics-based recruitment tools and novel engagement approaches to accelerate recruitment and retention.
