Spybot Search and Destroy

Go to:

Click Download.

Downloading…

Double click the installer.

Click Run.

Click OK to use the English language.

Or click the drop down arrow to select other language.

Click Next to proceed with the Setup Wizard.

Click I accept.

Click Next.

Click Next.

Click Next.

Click Next.

Click Next.

Finally, click Install.

Then, wait for a few seconds…

Click Finish.

Click OK.

Click Create registry backup.

To start using Spybot SD, click this.

Welcome to Spybot Search and Destroy!

Before you begin actions on Spybot SD…

… make sure you are logged in as administrator.

To do so, click the Start Button.

Right click Spybot SD.

Click Run as administrator.

You’ll go back to this.

Click this to start a system scan.

Click Yes.

Spybot SD is now checking the system.

Just wait for a while.

A report like this appears after the system scan.

A red entry, is considered by Spybot SD as spyware.

Click it.

Then click the arrow beside it.

This panel shows its details.

Scroll down to read the whole information.

After reading, decide if it is harmful for you.

Click this again to close the details pane.

If you consider it as non-harmful, just leave it.

If you think it is harmful, then remove it.

To remove, click Fix selected problems.

Click Yes.

If this appears, just select Yes.

Then restart your computer after Spybot SD has finished fixing.

Again, this means that you have to restart your computer…

…so that Spybot SD can finish fixing the system.

Just click OK.

Then, restart your computer.

Spybot SD conducts a system scan at start up.

If you wish to stop the scan, click Stop check.

When the system has started, this might appear.

You can either Allow or Deny the change.

Click this to check if there are no more problems.

Follow the same process starting at Slide 31.

No more red entries – no more spywares.

Spybot SD also shields your system from future harm…

…through its Immunize feature.

Click Immunize for further protection.

This appears.

To begin, click Immunize with a “+” sign.

If this appears, click OK.

Then close all your browsers.

Immunization is in progress.

Files labeled as “Unprotected” before Immunization…

… are now labeled as “Protected”.

That’s what Immunize does.

When it’s done, it looks like this.

You can see the summary here.

You can also undo the Immunization.

To do so, click Immunize.

Click Undo.

Wait for a few seconds.

It will go back to how it was before immunization.

All items are unprotected…

… which means Immunization has now been reversed.

You may also download Spybot SD updates.

Click Update.

Wait for a while.

Click an item to choose.

Example…

Then click Continue.

Check the boxes of the updates you wish to download.

Then, click Download.

Downloading…

Click OK.

Download is done.

Spybot SD also provides this feature…

… in case you need to undo some actions.

To start, click Recovery.

This is the Recovery page.

To start, click the item you wish to recover.

Check the box.

Then, click Recover selected items.

Click Yes.

Click OK.

No more items in the Recovery page.

Recovery successful!

But, if you wish to permanently delete the files…

… click Purge selected items.

Now it’s your turn to try Spybot Search and

Destroy!

And stay protected

from spywares!
