Step 1Monitored Customers — have your system & pass

numbers ready & call the monitoring station (519-663-2036

or 1-800-333-7721) & ask them to put your system on test.

Step 2Open the control panel door (usually located in the basement near the electrical panel or in a closet).

Step 2.2If locked, look on your keychain or look nearby/on top

of the Control Panel for the key.

Step 2.2 cont…If you can’t locate the panel key, contact Alarmtech (519-

434-3996) to borrow a key or get instr. on other solutions.

Step 3Remove the leads from the battery—you may have

to wiggle the battery leads to get them off.

Step 3.2Hold the wires so they do not touch (there is not an

electrical hazard if they do, but a fuse could short out).

Step 4Remove battery from the Control Panel & set it aside to be recycled. Do not discard with household waste.

Step 4.2Alarmtech will recycle your battery for you! Drop it off

at our office (549 Huron St., London, ON / 8:00am–4:30pm) or leave it outside the door during off-hours.

Step 5Remove any plastic protective covers, that may be on the battery terminals to expose the metal terminals.

Step 5.2Place the battery into the Control Panel and attach the

black lead to the black terminal.

Step 5.3Attach the red lead to the red terminal.

Step 5.4Close the Control Panel door and lock it.

Step 6Proceed to the keypad & acknowledge the tamper alarm

from opening the control panel door. Most panels will

need your code entered & off then enter your then code

and & off a second time.

Step 7Call the Monitoring Station (519-663-2036 or 1-800-333-7721)

& remove the system from test & confirm the panel

tamper has reset.

The keypad may still display ‘low battery’ for several hours. You can use the system as per

normal while the battery charges.

If after several hours the ‘low battery’ does not

clear, please arm & disarm the system twice in

a row & if it still does not clear please call
