How to record and playback G.711 RTP Streams with Wireshark

3300 Preparation 1/. Log on to your 3300 2/. Browse to System Options -> System Options Assignment. 3/. Click on Change and set ‘Voice Encryption Enabled’ to ‘No’.

4/. Save and close down your browser.

Network Preparation 1/. Configure a monitoring port on a network switch and select the ports to be monitored.

Wireshark 1/. Attach Laptop to monitoring port. 2/. Select the interface that Wireshark shout use to capture packets. 3/. Make some test calls and save the capture.

4/. Apply a filter (in this case) udp.port = = 9000

5/. Go to Analyse -> Decode As 6/. Select ‘Both’ and RTP

The screen should then look similar to this

7/. Go to Statistics -> RTP -> Show All Streams

8/. Select the required streams and click ‘Analyse’

9/. Click on ‘Save Payload’

10/. Select ‘au’ 11/. Tell it where to save it and click OK 12/. Load the file into Media Player – off you go!!!!!!
