• How does You Tube work?

How Does You Tube Work?
• You Tube is a free service for video creators and video viewers.
• You Tube makes money from the adds they place in front of their “video creators” videos.
• Video Creators make money based on the number of ”views” each video receives.
• Videos can be created on most any subject and coded with “tags” so the search engine can find them.
How Does You Tube Work cont.
• Video Creators (you) can advertise and link to the Channel from websites, e-mails, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
• Google makes “recommendations” for Viewers to watch your channel based on what they are watching or interested in.
• Viewers can “subscribe” to your Channel and be notified when you upload new videos.
What Do You Need to Utilize It?
• A You Tube Account (free).
• One video camera or smart phone.
• Ability to video something and upload it to your You Tube Account.
– Set up “tags” and “annotations” for your video.
– Monetize your video (need Adsense Account).
– Publish your video.
• You are now a You Tube “Creator.”
How Much Does It Cost?
• Nothing, if you have a smart phone - other than your data charges from your cell phone carrier.
• You can spend thousands to set up a video studio if you want to. But cost of entry is very low.

How Do You Make Money From You Tube?
• Set up a Google Ad-Sense Account – Fill Out a W9 Form and establish a link to your bank
account.
– Google credits a payment directly to your bank account each month.
• Link your You Tube Channel to your website where you sell prints (Fine Art America), or originals (E-Bay).
• Receive “Fan Funding” and/or set up a Paid Subscription Channel.
